This was an interesting one. The decor is absolutely stunning and very on brand, everything was carefully curated and looked fantastic. Our bartender/server was very sweet and let us sample one of the drinks before ordering which I thought was pretty awesome. AND they came in these cute test beakers which was very on theme! For drinks we got the butter me up from her recommendation and the Charandas incantation. The charandas incantation was surprisingly tasty although the butter me up was not I love an old fashioned which I thought this would be adjacent to, but honestly it tasted like nothing but alcohol and MAYBE a hint of caramel at the end. Just pretty alcohol forward so it tasted like I was taking a shot the whole time. The other thing that was a little off putting was the fact that they had all these fun cocktails... and they were served in a plain glass with a massive ice cube I think with the name of the Alchemist - I just expected more. Food we got the Peanut noodle cups because honestly the menu was a little confusing. It had Asian, Mexican, American, and Peruvian food all together.... And none of it looked amazing. The Peanut noodles were a little heavy on the fish sauce and kind of hard to eat, but overall ok. I like the idea of here, and I think there is potential. But personally I can think of quite a few other places I would go first.

Food 4/5 creative, fusion, have a nice touch to go well with the drink Service 4/5 friendly and attentive Ambiance 3/5 cozy and easy to talk inside the bar

I had high hopes for Alchemist given its high rating, but unfortunately the experience didn't live up to expectations. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, which was surprising for a place so highly reviewed. The Asian-Latin fusion concept is interesting, but the execution fell short. The drinks were just okay, and the food felt overpriced for the quality we received. Service was also underwhelming. What ultimately led me to leave a one-star review, even though the overall experience was closer to three stars, was that at the end of our meal the waitress offered us a free drink or dessert in exchange for leaving a five-star review. That raised concerns for me about the authenticity of the restaurant's high rating. I believe the current score may be influenced by incentives rather than a true reflection of the food, service, and ambiance. Patrons should be aware and set expectations accordingly.

One of the main reasons I came to Vegas was to eat here. My friend opened up this bar and restaurant and he had me try a lot of things beforehand at his home while testing them out before he put them on his menu. The funny thing is after I ate here, he called me and asked me how the food was. I said it was like eating at his home haha. He was like what does that mean? But I mean he's always made food that is above expectations at his home from recreating dishes from his extensive travels, so it translated into the bar and restaurant too. I came here with my mom and my friend. She wanted to try the alchemist burger out, which has kimchi in it. I took a bite of it and it was pretty good! Lots of flavors that go well with each other. My mom enjoyed this a lot. My friend thought it was pretty good too. I really enjoyed eating her fries too, but what really got me about her dish was the mustard aioli thing. That was superb and brought it all together. I got the jumping beef, which is a Vietnamese ribeye that comes with an egg and some tomatoes and bread. The hint of rosemary gives the steak a nice flavor, but what really does it is when you combine the steak, egg and bread together. Those flavors just make the bite so much more enjoyable and you really get to feel the blended cultures combine together in the flavor. My mom thought this dish was good and my friend said wow this is really good when he bit into it. My favorite dish was the bone marrow beef tartare thing. So they basically got a bone marrow, did what you normally do with bone marrow to make it amazing, then put beef tartare in it too. I don't really ever go out of my way to order beef tartare, but when paired with bone marrow, it's a really amazing dish. I wonder why I haven't seen that on any other menu as it's pretty basic, yet creative, and pairs perfectly with each other. This was both of their favorites too. My friend's eyes lit up and he said oh wow when he tried this. Oh I got the Xiu Mai meatballs too. I scarfed those down. They are really filling! What I like best about this place is the drinks. My friend and I, we both ordered a butter me up. I forget what's in it, but it tastes just like popcorn. Feels like you're at the movie theater. My mom got a pina colada. It wasn't on the menu, but it was made well. I also got a curry cure because I personally didn't think a drink could taste like curry and wanted to try it out. It tasted just like green curry. The waitress said that drink is a hit or miss, people either love it or hate it. I personally enjoyed it myself. My mom got the tofu cheesecake for dessert. Surprisingly, even though it's made from tofu, it tastes like cheesecake. I'm not sure how that's possible but that was pretty neat to try too. They have a picture area with wings, there's a pool table, the decor and atmosphere is nice. The service is really good and attentive. It's also only 10 minutes from the strip. I heard that they already had their first celebrity come in too this week. I think my friend did a really good job with this place and I think it'll just get busier and busier.

Had dinner somewhere in Spring Mountain on a Monday night and my friend & I were looking for a place to hang out. Saw about this place on Instagram and looked nice so we went there. There were no people when we went and we were supposed to leave but we stayed and ordered a drink and a dessert. They have cute decor. Curious about their drinks. Tried the matcha tonic and had a cute presentation. Had the pandan waffle too. I like the ice cream they used Theres a billiard table as well. Heard they are busy on the weekends.

I've been waiting to try The Alchemist and I'm so happy I finally did. It's honestly the first time in a while that I left a restaurant feeling completely satisfied and genuinely happy about the experience. My bestie and I came for the first time to try their Valentine's Day menu. Right away, I loved the vibe inside. There are little thoughtful touches throughout the space that make it feel cute, relaxed, and intimate. I also have to shout out the staff -- Will, Amanda, and Chrissy were amazing. I always appreciate attentive and welcoming service, and they provided true hospitality from start to finish. The cocktails were not only aesthetic and beautiful but actually tasted great too. Their Valentine's espresso martini came with a chocolate-covered strawberry which was such a cute touch, and the Lychee Bloom was super refreshing. The cocktails and drinks were delivered with presentation in mind, which I really appreciated. I love when a menu feels intentional, and they did a great job executing that here. Now the food -- I was very pleased. We ordered the surf and turf and props to the chef. I'm usually hesitant to order steak at restaurants because it's often over or undercooked, but this one was perfect. Juicy, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth good. The lobster tail was delicious and not overcooked, which I really appreciated. We also tried the ahi tuna salad, which was light, refreshing, and paired well with the meal. The dressing was flavorful without being overpowering. The spring rolls were unique too -- filled with pork and featuring their catch of the day, which was salmon when we visited. Overall, this is a spot I'm excited to share because I truly hope you'll go and enjoy it too. It's officially one of my favorite spots in Vegas now, and I'll definitely be returning to try more of their regular menu.

Randomly walked into this wonderful spot. They are still in their soft opening stage but don't wait to get here it's wonderful. The food looks great and I'll be back for it soon. The service was terrific especially Brittany!!! This is added to the rotation for sure. They make all syrups in house and do tons of clarified things.

I'm so excited to do this review for a new Asian fusion restaurant in Chinatown. The Alchemist Bar and Restaurant in Vegas has only been open for about three months, so there's still in their soft opening stage, but they're already making a statement. One of the top three chefs from Vietnam created the menu, and it's impressive. They're open for dinner and just open for lunch. We started with the Charsiu pork ribs and steak fries. These ribs are soups vide for eight hours and packed with flavor. Next, we moved to my favorite, the Korean fried chicken with gochujang honey sauce. Super crunchy skin and absolutely delicious! We finished with the jumping beef ribeye and quail egg. The portion size was great, and it was cooked perfectly. I'm looking forward to this place being around for a very long time!

The food was something to really rave about! However, it's not quite kid friendly which I totally get! They don't have any high chairs. It's definitely a spot to more so catch up with friends over yummy food and great cocktails. Kids are allowed, but I do believe it's geared towards adults. We did manage and was able to grab a table outside which was easier for a toddler to sit. Service, accommodations, food was amazing. Will be back!

    Sazerac by David

I love my classic cocktails so I ordered a Sazerac with David and he presented me a beautiful cocktail while giving me more of an understanding about the history of the drink and its various renditions. Absolute splendid service from him and the rest of the staff

Okay look this newer place has been open for 6 months. If you have not heard of it I am Not Surprised. I will be more surprised if they make it another 6 months. Seriously we came in just a bit after 12 noon, they just opened and no other tables. The Bartender or mixologist or whatever was friendly and greeted us right away offering to answer any questions about the ? Extensive menu. He is pretty proud of his cocktail program, which is good. It is quite Agave Spirits heavy but there is an extensive Drink menu. Food menu is a bit smaller. The first drink I ordered was the Butter Me Up Old Fashioned. When it got to the table after a bit of a wait, especially since they were not busy. My server, Alexis, who was great noticed it was missing the Signature Carmel Popcorn Garnish. She fixed that. The drink was then complete and quite delicious. We order food. To be fair we did special order several things( allergies). The food took a long time to get to our table. It was very hot and freshly prepared. I found it odd that when I asked to not get fries what would be my side choices? I was offered Catch of the Day Spring rolls, Salmon or Sea Bass. Oh we are out of Sea Bass, several other things were not available as well. The Spring Rolls are really Fish Lumpia and there is nothing else in them. The plates however arrived one by one and with several minutes in between. It's like the Chef could only make one plate at a time. Then missed one entree altogether. It was not the servers fault as she repeated it to us at the table. Then it took like 15 plus minutes to get out. The Chef came out to apologize that this dish takes a bit longer to make??? Vegan Tacos??? The rest of us were about done at this time and we boxed it up. Look everyone was friendly and nice. The place is cool and did a nice buildout. However in order to get customers to return you have to WOW Them!!! We were not wowed and at these prices the portions are really tasting plates so ....Good Luck!

This place feels like someone imported a Lower East Side speakeasy and dropped it into Chinatown. The interior leans modern steampunk with witch doctor details, moody lighting, and playful humor on the walls. The crowd was a mix of goths, punks, and rock biker energy, which actually made the space feel more authentic rather than curated. Inside gets loud, so we opted to sit outside which made conversation easier. Cocktails: They lean heavily experimental, which is rare here. It feels more East Coast speakeasy than Vegas lounge. Lychee Bloom was the most aesthetic visually. The color shift effect is beautiful, but it did taste slightly watered down. Charanda's Incantation was adventurous and layered. The mushroom component genuinely surprised me and added depth I did not expect. That one felt the most conceptual. Nonna's Concoction worked for me, but I am biased toward tomato based profiles. Matcha Tonic came in a cute teapot presentation. Visually strong, but the matcha flavor did not stand out as much as I wanted. Elixir of Youth was solid and drinkable. Butter Me Up was fun and buttery in a playful way without becoming cloying. Overall, the menu feels like a lab of infusions and ideas. Some land stronger than others, but I appreciate the ambition. Service: Our waitress mixed up our order twice, but she was genuinely trying to accommodate us and made it right by comping a drink. That effort goes a long way. She found out last minute that it was my partner's birthday and brought out not one but two tofu cheesecakes on the house. That level of generosity stood out. Other Notes: Bathrooms were fairly clean, and I appreciated that the decor carried through the theme instead of stopping at the dining room. It is not for someone who just wants a vodka soda. This is for people who enjoy experimental cocktail programs and aesthetic presentation. I would return for the vibe alone, and selectively reorder the stronger drinks.

Naked and Famous w/ Orange Vanilla Aperol Foam

Stopped in to visit, our bartender John was next level. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He asked what I preferred and I told him to surprise me! I'm not typically a Mezcal drinker but he made me a Naked and Famous w/ an orange vanilla Aperol foam. Paired with the lowkey vibe of the venue, it was the perfect pairing for a chill night out. Safe to say I am a huge fan going forward. Cocktail was well balanced and delicious. Will be returning! 5 Stars!

Marisa Cocina & Cocktails is the place to be in Las Vegas for brunch/food in general…read more Food: chicken and French toast, chicken and waffles, eggs, and the hot sausage was really tasty and seasoned. The margaritas were strong and so good. Service: the service was average as the place was packed. However our waiter made sure we were good in his section. They do need more waiters due to the extreme business of the resturant. Ambiance: the place is fire, energetic, lively, and full of fun. It's spacious with a live DJ keeping the music and vibez going! There's an area for pictures including 360 photo booth etc. My overall score is 4.5/5.0 will be back for sure!!! Score would've been higher if the service was quicker.

Mariposa Brunch - Las Vegas…read more If you're looking for a brunch spot with great energy, Mariposa definitely delivers. The vibe was amazing! There was a live DJ, a hype man keeping the crowd engaged, and an overall fun atmosphere that made it feel like a party. The food was delicious--think soul food brunch with flavorful dishes--and the drinks were just as good. My biggest piece of advice: make a reservation. If you don't have one, be prepared to wait. We were initially told the wait would be about 45 minutes, but after waiting that long, we were told we still had to wait until all guests with reservations had been seated. Since reservations kept arriving, it felt like we might never get a table. After speaking with management and going back and forth, we were finally seated after about an hour. Once seated, it also took a while for our food to arrive, but the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience made it worth it. Just know that Mariposa is off the Las Vegas Strip, so you'll need to venture away from the Strip to get there. Overall, if you make a reservation ahead of time, you'll likely have a much smoother experience. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are absolutely worth checking out.
