I was in contact with Adam for months in hopes that I would get the OK. I am so glad I moved here. Everyone is wonderful my building is so nice and quiet and friendly, the office staff is amazing the maintenance staff is amazing. You need something done and they were here in hours. From free coffee and hot chocolate in the office to a postal hub so your items do not get stolen off your porch, bingo every month to win money off your rent. When I moved in everything was clean and new. I hope to be here for a very long time I recommend giving Carrington a chance to become your new home. We have fun here we have contests. We have movie night pool parties and it just feels like home.

Specifically the manager, kevin, and assistant manager, tiara, are horrible! Numerous staff have quit because of the shoddy management, as well as residents, and more are planning to leave. I know this first hand. Tiara is rude, lazy, and arrogant. She doesn't go the extra mile for anyone! She does the bare minimum and has an extremely fake demeanor. She gets irritated when dealing with the tenants. When my fob failed to work, tiara claimed she'd fix it, but never did. Fortunately, one of the maintenance workers offered to get it activated since I had tried several times to no avail. I also had to contact her several times regarding some paperwork. She never reached out to me. I had to keep going to the office to finally get it taken care of. Kevin is weak. He doesn't want to discuss anything in person and will actually hide from you if you try. He personally targeted me and my neighbors and I couldn't even tell you why, as they are some of the nicest people who live on the property! He is constantly watching camera footage to go after the residents about one thing or another. He is NOT management material! The walls are super thin and I could hear just about everything my neighbors were doing- alarms going off, stomping around, conversations, music, the tv, etc. The management strives to put in as little money as possible for repairs, if they do repairs at all! Therefore, you keep dealing with the same problems which will only be solved by moving out! I asked to have overgrown landscaping trimmed back. The second time I asked, I received a very snotty remark from Kevin, And the work was never done. The buildings have leaks all over, so don't be surprised if your unit has water coming in during the many storms the area receives! They also claim they'll dna test dog excrement that isn't picked up, but they never actually do because they don't want to pay for the testing to be done. I could provide numerous additional examples, but this review is already very lengthy. It may be an ideal location to some, but I would NOT recommending living at this location! Do yourself a favor and find another location to reside!

I had an experience where a monthly rent payment was returned to the bank due to insufficient…read morefunds. This NSF payment was made by the parent of my son's previous roommate that had moved out and not been on the lease for 3 months. Apparently the parent forgot to remove their payment information from their portal, and the account they were using to make payments had been closed. Because of this error on the part of someone not even living at or associated with the property, a NSF charge was levied and I now will be unable to pay the rent each month with my bank account (since there have been 2 NSF payments on the account, the other also being due to banking issues with the other parent's account). My options for payment are now only cashier's check or credit card (with a 3% processing fee). I called and spoke with the owner of MMC and he was unwilling to see this as an extenuating circumstance and make an exception to his company's policy for me and my son.

Stay far, FAR away from this place. I'm assuming that there was a change in management shortly…read moreafter we first moved 2 years ago because this is NOT the complex that was here back then. When we first moved in, the office staff were kind and helping, they actually did multiple community events, and the property was well maintained. Since then, they've raised prices (to pay for their pool remodel, I'm sure), NO events unless they're last minute, poorly planned "pool parties", and it is common occurrence for the ONE trash compactor to be overflowing into the street (not to mention the fruit flies, roaches, and mold problem!). My biggest pain points are about two events in particular. 1st: in a current political climate where prices are at such an all time high, that one missed payment could make you homeless, what does this company care about? Towing cars with expired tags. They put a LOVELY hard-to-remove orange sticker on your windshield giving you less than a week to get your tags renewed or your car would be removed from the property. And it was only for cars they deemed worthy of removing, because there were plenty of other cars with expired tags without stickers on them. This was only a month or so after we renewed our lease in which they raised our rent almost $200 more per month. WE CAN BARELY AFFORD TO SURVIVE AND THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX DOES NOT GIVE A CRAP. We are LUCKY that we had family to help us. I can't imagine the poor families that are worse off than us. #2. It is clear that the office ladies make up their rules as they go, especially when it comes to picking up packages. My spouse was expecting a package but did not anticipate that it was going to be delivered to the office (we go out of our way to avoid certain carriers as to minimize ANYTHING having to go to that office as much as possible but this package got diverted through USPS and USPS stopped delivering packages to our doors). She goes by a first name that is not on her ID, but this office has interacted with us enough to know who we are. They KNOW our names and faces. Our last name matches what's on the package and our IDs match what is listed on our lease. And I walked into that office with my ID out, and knew the exact name that would be on the package as well as the apartment number. At first they tried to cite that it was an identity thing but then when I pushed back, I was given the excuse that "we don't know what's going on in your own apartment, we don't know if you're having a dispute and are trying to steal her package" like..... WHAT?! It's VERY clear why we are not being given our package but now they're holding our package hostage and are providing no additional information on how we're supposed to retrieve it. We're supposed to just "wait for them to call tomorrow".... I cannot WAIT for our lease to be up so we can get tf out of this awful place.

She has a genuine personality which makes me feel at home and the warmth of the environment is always a pleasant atmosphere to come home to. The onsite maintenance man is always eager to help out anyway he can, he loves what he does which is evident every time we see each other. He always inquires if there is anything that he can do for me. I am grateful to have found a great team of people here at Poplar Village who put residences concerns above all else. If ever there was anything else to improve the quality of my living here at Poplar Village would be equivalent to trying to modify something that has already been perfected. I would not want to change a thing...actually, I did notice on Poplar Village web-site that photos of the laundry facilities are not yet posted. I think this addition would be yet another great selling point as to the conveniences of living on site are plenty.
