This place is a ripoff and scammers. I came here with my family.. no fruits in the garden but they…read moredid sell fruits.. old to be exact!! They had sugar cane that tasted like grass and old. We told the lady we want 3 cups but saw that some sugar cane was already squeezed and sitting there murky. It was old and they tried to sell us old sugarcane.. we ended up getting 2 cups and it was gross. I am never the one to check the menu prices when I go out to eat and I wish I asked because we ordered 2 dishes here that WERE $60 EACH. The portions were ridiculous and we were basically eating in an outhouse with freaking paper plates and plastic utensils that they didn't even provide us with properly. We were a table of 7 and they gave us 4!!! We had to keep asking and ended up sharing plates or get our own. The food wasn't even that good and they charged gratuity for non-existent service. They didn't even have a sign or menu that mentioned adding automatic gratuity. We were going to tip regardless but this is absurd with all the hidden fees. We bought coconut, mangos, custard apple and they were all old or rotten when we went home to eat it. The only thing good was the mango. The custard apple was overpriced and $60 for 5!!! The guy working there told me that it was 10lbs. How is 5 fruits 10lbs?! We drove 2.5 hours from Tampa to come here and it was a waste of time.

The farm had seasonal Asian fruit. Some fruit I saw were dragon fruit, coconut a d sugar cane for sale. I would come after 11 am since they have lunch specials. The place has plenty outdoor seating with places to hangout. The owner was very nice and your able to walk around the farm to see the fruit. Overall if you enjoyed Asian fruit and experience it something to check out.

The prices on most items are quite affordable and less than other stores. The aisles are neatly arranged and I found it easy to locate items I was looking for. During my visit to Florida, I think I ended up visiting about 4 times. During my visits, I purchased pre packaged peanut brittle, fresh baked cinnamon roll ($1.99), hand scooped ice cream (I believe a double scoop was $2.99), an acai bowl ($6.99) and a made fresh to order English muffin sandwich ($3.99). All of the staff was very friendly and didn't dilly dally. Everything was very good. I will definitely be visiting again when I'm in Florida.

This has been a little overdue. I am somewhat disappointed still in the Venice store after the expansion for not having better parking and not being big enough to carry things like Milton Crackers and ANY type of Soy milk and many items the OTHER Detwiler's do carry. It's just too far to go to Stickney/Clarke or way up to Honoré as the next closest! We are forced to cheat on you with now opened Sprouts, Aldi, Publix (yes I am THAT desperate that I have to get raped a Publix which is basically a BIG 7-11 and huge rip off) , or a Winn-Dixie. For vegetables, and the majority of what we buy weekly we go to Detwiler's!!! and for the rest and things not available like paper products and beverages and etc we are Costco folks. The people at this store are awesome and maybe even nicer than the OTHER Detwiler's if that is possible? Great store, we spend many thousands per year here!
