For a supermarket they have an unbelievable selection of breads, pretzels and cakes, all fresh and delicious, no matter what time of day you stop by. The place is a quaint little shop with a barista, who makes the drinks and an assortment of chocolate bars to choose from. The chocolate is all from Costa Rica. They do a great job of explaining their trade process. It does seem like they engage in some level of fair and direct trade. While I was there, I got 2 chocolate bars to take with me and a chilled chocolate drink. They have something for everyone, whether you like light, dark, or white chocolate. The service was great. The guy, whose name escapes me, explained the drink options and the fact that he could chill different options with ice. My drink was a bit plain for my taste but I'll chock that up to not having much time to make a selection because I arrived right before close and wanted to be respectful of their time. Regardless I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in Koblenz.

The Supermercato italiano is conveniently located near the freeway exit with plenty of parking space at the entrance. The store is huge! The aisles are filled with hard-to find Italian products, ranging from sauces to snacks to wines and spirits, pasta and even cleaning products, the biggest surprise was seeing how reasonably priced they were and how many iconic Italian brands they carry. The cashier was very courteous and eager to help. We were able to stock up on some much-needed products and highly recommend this supermarket.
