If you were heading up north and needed stuff for charcuterie on the boat, you could definitely stop here. My colleagues had packed a cooler and bought an assortment of fresh and frozen meat, which they insisted some of the best in Minnesota. Given how much meat they like to eat, that's saying a lot. It's just off the highway when you're heading up on Highway 10. If you like meat or smoked fish you really should stop in.

Produce at Crosby often suffers from lack of attention to freshness and the occasional rotten onion or wilted leafy vegetable does happen. If my grocery list is produce-heavy, I'll head to Brainerd or Baxter where the produce is likely to be fresher and better stocked. All-in-all, a reasonably competent basic supermarket chain.

It's pretty reliable to fall back on too when you need groceries or last minute items, but that being said it won't have everything if you like select brands you most likely will have to go to brainerd for that. The deli area we always like to order togo made salads or something from the hot bar if we want to make an easy dinner for that night. The workers behind the counter will either greet you and be nice and that tends to be rare. They never seem to be happy or in the mood to even smile. Sometimes they might just ignore you till you practically have to wave them down but its a 50/50 shot who you'll get same with the cashiers, you might get a pre-teen boy who doesn't even know how to speak one word like your total, its a little bizarre. If your a cashier maybe at least know how to ask if you'd like a receipt. thankyou
