I had the worst meal I have ever eaten tonight. The steak (picanha) was tough as leather. Mine was overdone, but my husband's was cooked exactly to the fineness he prefers, and still he had to spit out several mouthfuls due to it being too tough to swallow.
The potato boats pictures in the menu bear no resemblance to what we were served. I have photos if you want proof. What we received were boiled potatoes, cut in half the short way, then topped with spray cheese and bacon bits. Nasty!!
The Caesar salad was rusty and the croutons were burnt. To top off the night, the waiter never refreshed our drinks, so the overly salty and tough steak couldn't even get washed down. I have had a pain in my gut for the past 3 hours, since getting gone from dinner. I highly recommend against trying AleHouse American Bar and Restaurant. read more
