We took the tacos Togo. They have great menu and combo plates seems like great deals but I don't feel like rice and beans at the time I order so skipped the combo. I ordered babacoa, fish, and el pastor with no additional toppings. Everything tastes fantastic and well seasoned without additional sauce. I like corn elote a lot and decided to order it. It's cheesy and cream but lacking of flavor. I added the red sauce (salsa Roja) which comes with the tacos for extra flavor. It add some kick to the corn. I guess the Elote is supposed to be seasoned with their Cheetos topping but since we are on diet restriction and can't have Cheetos, we feel the elote is under seasoned. With one bite, i decided this will be a frequent place for me and my family! It doesn't seem like much from the outside, but the food is absolutely authentic and delicious! I got the grilled shrimp taco - homemade tortilla, great portion size, grilled veggies with spinach - just so good! I did add some of the green sauce they had on the table, and it created the perfect flavor combination. while drive around north dallas, we were craving some mexican food and found this place. Glad we stopped by. I ended up getting two tacos (chicken and carne asada) and the elote. The wife got an al pastor burrito. Everything was great. It was also really filling. the tacos were a bit dry, but that's where the sauce came in handy. They also gave two different types of sauce. one green and one red. The green one was went better with the burritos and tacos. the red one was too spicy for us. I really enjoyed the elote in a bowl. i know you have the option to opt out the parmesan cheese for flaming hot Cheetos, but i'm glad i chose to keep it original. I wanted add ons though, so I continued to tell him what I wanted, but then after I said everything, he was like "wait each add on is $1 extra." Oh ok.. I didn't see my marg and asked if it was in the bag, but he was like "oh yea let me get that." You're telling me if i hadn't had asked, I was about to walk out without any marg!! $7 almost lost right there! Whatever. I thanked, left, and hoped the food was good. Driving home, it smelled delicious in the car! Al pastor wasn't spicy at all! It tasted great with sour cream. Chicken was bland and sad :( elote was creamy but lacking flavor. After going home and reading more reviews, I agree with the person who said to add hot sauce and stuff to it. Mexican rice was also bland. Strawberry marg was delicious though. TLDR; a low-mid experience as a first-time. The nachos are HUGE! This place is a hidden gem. I've tried the taco plate. You get 3 tacos and rice and beans. I've had the loaded nachos and the chips are so crispy. Prices are typical. We ended up ordering 4 tacos, which included the barbacoa, steak, pastor, and egg and chorizo breakfast tacos (served all day). Make sure to get the tacos on corn tortilla because that's the way street tacos are intended to be eaten. Each taco averaged a little over $2, but they each came with a generous portion of meat. My favorite taco was the egg and chorizo breakfast taco. The eggs were fluffy, and the spicy chorizo was infused into the scrambled eggs. The other tacos we had were pretty average, and the Barbacoa street taco was a bit too oily for me. Also, don't forget to try both the red and green salsas, especially the green salsa for some nice heat. Overall, Ale Taco is a great value for some decently flavored and seasoned street tacos. Pretty good street tacos for the price when you do a platter. We tried a variety of tacos including the fish tacos. Fish tacos are catfish with a chipotle sauce and a little bit of kick! Paired it with the Mexican rice with chips and salsa which the salsa is pretty fab I will say and tacos were super delicious. We also had chicken and other tacos with a side of refried bens and good lord they give you more refried beans than anyone should ever have in a week! Everything was tasty though and it was enough food to make someone stuffed easily. We did also try the fries with Cheeto dust. Essentially it's fries with queso and sprinkled Cheeto like chunks on top. Not exactly Mexican style but still pretty dang good. You get a ridiculous amount too for cheap.
