Bruno and Nadia at Hotel Alessi are fantastic hosts. The hotel is in a great spot on a small, very Italian street in Desenzano at Lake Garda. The food at their hotel is some of the best we had in Italy, particularly the pizza. Bruno and Nadia were very accommodating to our needs. If you want to cycling, they can get bikes and a guide (Mauro) and the cycling was terrific. We did one 28 mile ride and another 41 mile ride the next day. The second day was more country feel - lots and lots of vineyards and olive groves. The hotel is clean but it's really the people at that make the difference. read more
