My chai tea latte was adequate but not exceptional, as was the meat pastry we shared. The ambience is enjoyable and seems traditional for the area. I certainly look forward to returning, focusing more on the 5-star breakfast platter and 4-star blueberry tart and ambience, while probably trying a different drink or getting one elsewhere and staying away from the brownie.

I enjoyed the look of it much more than the taste of it. I've heard that the vegan chocolate cake is really the cafe's star dessert, so I'll have to try that the next time that I'm in the neighborhood. I've never struggled to find seating, since it's ~2 blocks north of Kotti on Adalbertstr. The service can be unfriendly, which doesn't really match the look and feel of the cafe. It really depends on who is working, whether they're busy doing something else, and what language you order in. The first time that I visited, I ordered in German and the employee (possibly owner) looked really annoyed. Afterwards, I only ordered in English. The prices are typical of an upscale cafe.

As for the menu offerings? The hot chocolate with soy was one of the best I've ever had, and my bagel was alright too. My companion had coffee and it was GOOD. There was a spicy hint of flavouring to the roast. Had I not already consumed caffeine just prior, it's likely I would have ordered one of my own.
