Well, I guess you are really. It is very quaint. It lacks air conditioning as far as I could tell, but its an older building so that makes sense. The grounds are well cared for. The dinners were very good and every course was a little surprise (I didn't know you could do that with diced cucumbers - kind of stuff). The staff was very friendly and my non-French and their non-English worked out just fine. Just a little patience and VOILA!! The only drawback I could see was that there was no place to purchase sundries. I walked around the local houses as well and couldn't find a convenient store or gas station either. I appreciated that they had a lot of sauce options to choose from with their burgers and fries. The service was a bit slow, but it seemed like they didn't have many servers to cover all the tables.
