This was an absolutely magical experience. We knew that because weather is so fickle there was always a chance of cancellation. When Kevin found out that we were renting a car to get there he told us he'd make a decision by a certain time so we wouldn't have to rent a car if the weather wasn't good. Fortunately the weather was good and we headed out. When we got there we were told that a certain wind pattern had popped up unanticipated and us and a couple of other balloons waited. I really appreciated the attention to safety. You could really see that Kevin, his crew and the other ballooners were all very careful about the weather. The experience of ballooning was absolutely fantastic. It was magical. The feeling of safety and serenity in the basket is not something that can be put into words. I so so appreciated Kevin and his team's friendly and excited attitudes. They were taking pictures of us and put us in perfect positions for the pictures. I had no idea of the amazing service we would get. It really made our flight that much more amazing. I can't recommend this experience and especially Kevin and his team enough. Unless a business provides an exceptional service I rarely give out 5-star ratings. However, Alexandria Balloon earned my 5-stars without much hesitation. I took my wife and another couple for a sunset flight last weekend. Kevin and Lorelei were courteous and friendly and we concluded our flight with complimentary champagne and hors d'oeuvres while browsing through the fantastic photos Lorelei took of us. Truly spectacular experience. Flying over 10 miles of the rolling hills and tranquil landscape from 1000 feet up is just amazing. The owner and pilot of our gorgeous balloon Kevin Olsen and his crew made our experience so memorable. They have a crew following our balloon by car to photograph us and a small private plane that would periodically fly by showing off his skills. Ended an hour later with a bottle of champagne waiting for us..nice touch. read more

My fiancé and I decided to take a hot air balloon ride for our anniversary and what a great decision we made! The conditions were perfect and the scenery was breathtaking! Kevin and his team were so kind and fun throughout the entire trip. Beforehand, I was worried that being in such close quarters with someone we didn't know would be a little awkward, but Kevin is extremely personable. I was also surprised by how smooth the ride was. We glided over the landscape and felt completely safe throughout. As a courtesy, his team follows the balloon on the ground and takes pictures of each flight, that he then shares with you at no additional cost. The pictures came out beautifully. Absolutely great company to take you in the air with beautiful views. Very experienced crew and it clearly showed from the coordination, take off, in air experience and landing. We couldn't have been more pleased, Kevin and crew make you feel very comfortable with the process and were extremely enjoyable to be around. I personally would suggest taking back roads to the location as the surrounding area is peaceful and gorgeous. My mother, sister, and I had the opportunity to ride with Kevin on his hot air balloon during yesterday's sunrise. The experience was absolutely amazing and we will cherish the memories forever. Kevin and his crew give you a first class experience and have years of experience that make you feel safe while soaring through the sky. It is so peaceful gliding through the air! I have a fear of heights but there was not one moment where I felt fearful. The hot air balloon gracefully rises into the sky so you don't feel that feeling you get when you go on an elevator. The landscape is breathtaking, especially with all the trees changing colors. Watching the sun rise as we rose in the air was awe inspiring. You'll never be able to experience something so magical unless you take the chance to go on a ride. I highly recommend Alexandria Balloon Flights!
