Another time, I had pasta because I had beef for lunch earlier that day; much to my surprise the pasta was excellent too. All the waiters here know the menu very well, and do an excellent job of recommending how to prepare the dishes they suggest. It's all the more impressive when the dishes recommended aren't necessarily the most expensive ones on the menu. Overall, the quality is consistently very good and the prices are decent. Highly recommended!

The starters are quite good (I've tried at least three of the half dozen starters on the menu) the grilled provolone cheese being the best. But from your starter on you'd probably feel that brilliant first impression starts to fade away... Maybe if you choose to eat at Refineria you should stick to the "parrilla" option; I've heard that it's the best they offer. Be sure to sit inside if you don't like mosquito bites or the smell of mosquito repellent mixing with your food. All in all, the place is lovely and the service is very good but their food, unfortunately, is not as good as their service or ambiance.
