Jens Burg is THE place to go if you're strolling around Hoheluft/Eppendorf on a summer's eve, you don't have to buy anything, just walk around the shop and take in the scents. Burg roast some of their own blends, which can come as expensive as 15eu for 250gr of things named "African Blue". They do have quite a few rare blends, but have very good affordable coffee for those who don't buy into the whole luxury coffee thing (like me). I particularly like their choice of Teas. As much as I like black tea, I love herbal teas in the Summer for making iced tea, Jens Burg are one of the only places in Hamburg that sell my favorite teas, Celestial Seasonings. They have the best citrus tea. Jens Burg has a whole bunch of interesting gift items as well, such as mugs, cups, tins and unique confectionary such as interesting chocolates, cinnamon toffees, etc. If you're looking to try a new brand of coffee, want a new selection of teas to choose from or are looking for some items for your kitchen, I recommend hopping into Jens Burg and poking around. Then up pops coffee al volo on my Yelp page, as if it were meant to be. For me, this cafe has all the comforts of home. The staff are warm and friendly, the food is made with love, and you don't feel guilty for staying for a couple hours to read, chat, or study. Each time I've gone I've seen people there with friends, family, or by themselves; enjoying each other's company or catching up on some work. Overall it has a very welcoming, open, and comfy vibe. As much as I love exploring cafes around the city, I've also been searching for my go-to, all-in-one cafe. Finally, I think I've found it! Definitely becoming one of my weekend staples.

The coffee itself is about as good as coffee gets (just an inch away from perfect), no bitter tastes and skillfully brewed. You don't get this level of taste at many places, needless to say not at Starbucks or any of the other shitty places! If you're in the area, grab one for take away but don't bother sitting down with this crowd.
