We stopped by here to get dinner before a concert and were lucky that they had room. We had previously stopped at a couple of other places that had long wait times. Tucked down the alley by the gum wall, it's a great option for wood fired pizzas. The space is fairly small and very low-lit, but thriving with energy. Our service was fantastic, drinks were good, but besides the pizza the food was pretty hit or miss. We had a table of 4 and we kept the table full the entire time. We started off with a salad, spicy mac n cheese, cheese sticks, and Brie and cheese. Salad was light and refreshing. The cheese sticks were pretty normal, but also good. The spicy mac n cheese to me had zero spice. Just some mac in a cast iron pan. The apple and Brie had a nice presentation but the smallest amount of Brie possible(my picture was too blurry to post). The Broccolini I am not sure how it was defined as broccolini because the 5 pieces that came on the plate were huge. While packed with flavors of lemon and Parmesan they had a very tree like feel and were a bit on the harder side. The El Diablo pizza, to be straight forward was by far the best part of the stop. The crust could have been a little more well done, but that's just me splitting hairs. I ate more of that than anyone else. I've heard good things about the pizza from here, so came down to check it out. First though - started with the appetizer - which was apple slices, honey, brie, and focaccia. This was an interesting combination of stuff. The focaccia bread was solid. It wasn't really crispy at all, but it did have solid air to it. The brie was good, but the apple slices were a little confusing. Dipping each of the elements in honey resulted in something solid overall though. Next came the main pizza - a chicken and bacon version. I did not like this that much. The chicken and bacon on top were fine, but what tasted odd was the sauce and the crust. The ricotta garlic sauce just didn't quite taste right. The cornicone was also super chewy and hard to eat. I would call this pizza consumable, but not enjoyable. The good thing is I would say the pizza is enough for two people. The total ended up at roughly 28 per person at the end, which with the appetizer isn't terrible. Overall, I would rather go to a lot of other places for pizza. 6/10 read more

They were out there really late. We got to the airport and to the restaurant that was close. This place had pretty good ratings over on Yelp. The waitstaff was great. Pretty dark place, but it made sense for the vibes. We were torn between the chicken jalapeno pizza and the pizza con carne, as they suggested. We just did a half and half, so that's what we did. The pizza con carne for me was a 3.5 out of 5. The chicken and jalapeno was a 3 out of 5. The pizza con carne had a good flavor, but it wasn't a great flavor, but the ranch was a must for me. The pizza con carne really increased the flavor of the pizza. The ranch did the same thing for the chicken jalapeno pizza. All the ingredients were very fresh, and the cilantro was very pronounced. I enjoyed that portion of it. It was a cool place, definitely great to go after hours. I would go again and try some of the other pizzas this morning. Overall, I liked it. I was recently downtown running some errands for work and had my husband with me, so we decided to take advantage of not having the kids and have a little lunch date moment. I've heard of The Alibi Room lots of times and even was going to choose coming here but I saw that it's supposed to be speakeasy vibes/kinda hard to find. It was VERY easy to find right past the gum wall so we decided to come in after all. We got there right before the big lunch rush and thank god because there was a steady line of people waiting for a hot minute. While the menu has so many enticing options, we weren't feeling great and weren't gravitating to what our tastebuds would normally call. We went super basic and got a Caesar Salad and Cheesy Bread to split. The Caesar was actually a good size for the both of us and was the perfect refreshing pick me up with the perfect amount of dressing. The Cheesy Bread, I mean, you can't really go wrong with. Also delicious! This spot is a little more on the cozy side with dark lighting, so it was definitely giving date night vibes. We definitely wanna come back to try their spicy mac n cheese and an actual pizza. If you're in the market, definitely suggest stopping in here! read more

Stopped here just before. Show at the Showbox on 1st. Pizza was fantastic. It especially nice that we can split the pizza with two different flavors, which was nice. They also have an option to have hot honey on the side so that you can drizzle them yourself, which was nice. The service was very quick even though the bar was very busy. Very much appreciated the waiting staff: The vibe is always cozy and immaculate. It's such an iconic Seattle place in the heart of Pike Place Market with the grungiest vibes. Wow... Seattle, you've completely spoiled me with this pizza! I live in Florida and I'm so sad I haven't found anything down here that comes close. This place instantly won me over with its speakeasy-style vibe... You walk through tunnels and alleyways to get in, and it just feels like a hidden gem. Loved everything about the atmosphere! Service was a little slow at first, but I loved the place so much, that I wasn't bothered after the fact. Now the food... INSANELY GOOD!! I tried the grape and blue cheese pizza and the fig, goat cheese and prosciutto pizza (without the prosciutto) and holy sh*t!! Both were out-of-this-world delicious!! Easily some of the best pizza I've ever had. I started with the cheese bread (so good) and paired everything with a nice glass of wine. Perfect combination. The vibe, the food, the whole experience... Just unforgettable. Next time I'm back in Seattle, this spot will be a must. Just when I was becoming convinced as a Seattle newcomer that the city lacks a good pizza joint, this place came to the rescue. The pizza is excellent - nicely done crust, great sauce, well done toppings. As an added bonus, my gluten free crust was legit good - nothing like the typical ultraprocessed obviously pre-packaged thing that lots of pizza joints pull out, but thin and crispy and tasty. Always love going to the Alibi Room. It's a bastion of old-school Seattle in the tourist chaos of the market. If you can ignore the gross gum walls of the market nearby and open the entrance door, you're transported to a place that has successfully held its own against the corporate culture that has taken over the downtown Seattle core. It's dark with old brick walls, scruffy, and has good music. We always split a pizza and a wedge salad, which is a perfect late lunch/early dinner for us. They do a great crust and have an awesome selection of pizzas including ones you don't see elsewhere (for example sausage and broccolini, my personal favorite). Service is pretty good, though they are frequently holding down a lot of tables so don't come here if you are in a rush or have to absolutely see the first pitch of the game. But you shouldn't be in a rush here--soak up the atmosphere, enjoy your pizza and maybe order another beer.... read more

We ordered some drinks and a pepperoni & mushroom pizza and a wedge salad. Perfect late night choice before calling it a night. The thin crust pizza held up nicely to the toppings, sauce was great, ingredients were fresh. Some may find it a little pricey for the size, but it is Seattle and it is solid pizza. Ordered for delivery. They're open late on weeknights, which is awesome. Pizza arrived cold, but 10 mins in a 350 deg oven was all it needed. It was also sliced in a really arbitrary manner - some rectangular slices, some triangle, sizes all over the place. Kinda weird. Delicious, though. The white bean hummus was surprisingly flavorless. I don't know if that was intentional, since it comes with stuff on the side like olives, feta, and roasted garlic, but a lot of places serve hummus with that sort of thing and it still has some kind of flavor regardless. They give you lots of pita instead of just 2-3 triangles, which was really nice. Caesar salad was fine - def no complaints, but no stand-out raves, either. We came in right as the lunch rush seemed to be at its peak and they were down a server so we were able to get a round of drinks but had to wait a while to put in our order. They had a nice lunch menu which included personal size pizza options for any pizza on the menu and were half the price.
