All American Fence outperformed three other companies in responding to my initial call; getting me an estimate and scheduling the work. Entire process took about 1 week. They answered the phone when I called and responded quickly to my emails. The fence looks great. Job site was cleaned up afterward. I pointed out some sprinkler control lines and an unground electrical wire buried near the fence and there was no damage after the work was done. I inspected the posts and they are all cemented with the cement cap per the contract. I am no expert on construction so only will time will tell how the fence holds up but the final product looks to be sturdy and appearance is great. We replaced the fence with this company 10 years ago. Last 2 weeks, the fence fell down during the windy day. What we saw is they did not do the post properly. There was no concrete cement 2 feet hole (not even 2 feet deep) except 6 " from the ground. The pressure treated wood suffered the rotten and termite because it is not protected by the cement. All posts had the same problem. We called them to check and waited for 2 weeks to comes. No one showed up on that day. Someone called me this morning and blamed on 10 years. We found All American Fence in Homeowners Guide (Oct. 2024) where they stated that the do fence repair as well as construction. We needed fence repair so they sent out their field manager to view the requirements of the job. He stated that he would email a quote for the work and after nine days no quote. We therefore called the office where they stated that they do not do repairs and that homeowners guide was incorrect. It would have been nice to receive a call or email stating this. I had them replace about 80 feet of fencing and install 2 gates. I think they did a nice job installing the fence but not a good job installing the gates. I replaced the fence at all 4 sides of my yard with various companies. The last portion was handled by All American Fence. It was the most difficult and not customer friendly company amongst all 4. Besides the general difficulties with their processes and communication, they broke my irrigation pipes that are about 4 feet away from the fence. I placed these pipes myself and know for certain that they are not near the fence itself. The only way they can be broken is by negligence and poor customer care. When I discussed it with the company, they simply referred me to a clause in the contract to wipe their hands clean - not even a sense of sympathy was offered. Their prices are in similar range of all others but the customers are not treated with care and respect. In order to not get into a dispute any further I simply had to replace the broken garden irrigation out of pocket. Added cost certainly made this the most expensive fence work ever! My advice is to make sure you REALLY read the contract and AGREE with every clause before you sign with them. Do NOT expect CUSTOMER SUPPORT or any sharing of responsibility after the work is complete. I know for sure I will not ever go back to All American Fence Company. read more

Please, I would like a response on why you are not standing by your contracted warranty? Ultimately all we want is the warranty work completed as paid for and under contract - that's it! ----------------- We had our fence replaced 13 years ago and chose All American Fence because of the warranty they offered for additional money to the contracted work. The work was good, with no issues until the pressurized wood started rotting about 10 years into the installation. I contacted AAF to have the foreman come out and look at the issues in 2019. I was told we needed 7 posts and bases replaced. I was contacted by the foreman in 2019 and told "it was not worth his time to bring a crew out" to replace the items under warranty unless they had additional work. Pandemic hits so I wait until 2021 to contact AAF again with the issues. The same foreman comes out and says we need 5-7 posts replaced. Over the next few weeks, I hear no response. I called three times asking what the status was. 2-21-2022 Today I received a response: "Good morning ****, I do apologize, upon further review with our owner we are not able to proceed with any repairs as has been advised previously. We would only be able to do full (SIC) replacement. Thank you, ******* (Name redacted) All American Fence Corp. This update is in response to Bill M. the company owner. I stand by every word in my initial review. (1) It all started from scheduling: having not given us any estimate for the job (why?) your company stayed radio silent for 7 weeks aftre signing the contract until, after prodding by our activist neighbor, we got a message at 4 pm one day that you have a sudden opening for one of your crews to start the very next morning. Was it not forcing it on us? Should we have stayed in the dark for another 7 weeks? Another 15 weeks? How long? (2) After spending first 1-1.5 hours of the morning inexplicably doing nothing, your installers then quickly piled our old demolished fence right on my front lawn where it stayed for the day. And this was after I showed them a perfectly convenient paved walk and cleared my driveway and the curb from the cars. (3) You have not hit just "some" of our sprinkler lines, you hit them all. Systematically, one by one. I have already paid hundreds of dollars to only partially restore our sprinkler system and there is still no end in sight. (4) Fence height on my neighbor's side is 5'7" (against 5'5" on my side). I am not super-tall, just 6'1" and I now see much of my neighbor's backyard where I saw none of it before. Ever heard about about stepped fence? If not, here is a picture for your viewing pleasure of my fence on the other side which - thanks god - we fixed ourselves with my other neighbor. That fence was installed 20 years ago and is still better than the one you installed just 3 weeks ago. (5) The new gate you installed is no longer closing after 2 weeks of use. What a quality of crapsmanship! My first review was intended as a warning to my neighbors. This update is more of an advise to the company: avoid our neighborhood where the lots are tight and sloped. I would highly recommend not doing business with All American Fence. They do not stand by their work. The owner is very abrasive and difficult to work with. We had several posts rot before the warranty period expired and when I called to have them repaired under the warranty, I was told I would be charged for the work and when I complained about paying for warranty work, I was told that "the warranty doesn't cover the cost of doing the work." Lol, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what a warranty covers. I could go on for pages about the 6 month process to get them to perform. The owner does not stand behind his work. And this was in addition to problems we had during installation when it took months for them to return and make some minor repairs. Good luck! Our fence blew down in March 2023. It took them 6 weeks to come out. They finally did come out had to wait 2 more week for the quote had to call the owner. After looking over the quote we noticed that 2 complete sections of the fence were missing. Had to call them back out to correct this. Waited another week to the guy to come back out so that we could prove that he missed 2 complete sections. We just wanted to make sure that everything was going to be replaced and not have to wait longer because they didn't have enough wood for the fence or have a huge upcharge because it wasn't quoted correctly. Finally got the full quote with all the correct measurements. They sent over the contract for us to E-sign, but they didn't send the code for the E-signature. We tried several times and the code didn't work or wasn't valid. I even made a copy of the contract sign it and emailed to the lady in the office directly. She still claimed that she didn't get it. So we mailed her the signed contract in the regular mail as per her request. Waited another 2 weeks for a letter to get from Livermore to Livermore. She claimed that she still hadn't received it. We then made another copy and actually hand delivered it to her office and called her to let her know that it was put in her door. She didn't even pick up the phone. Now we can't even hardly get her on the phone. But if we call from a phone number that she doesn't know she will answer the phone very professionally until she gets our address and her whole tone and attitude changes. We are now being told that she is booked until the end of July going into August. And once she gets a slot she will put us on the schedule and let us know. Why can't she put us on the schedule now???? If they under bid the job that's on them, but just let us know that another mistake was made and we can work it out. But to just be so rude and unprofessional is quite a different story. We really want to do business with All American Fence and so did my other 2 neighbors that have the same fence damage that we do. Plus we were all going to have extra fencing and gates done. Our back fence is not a small fence it spans across 2 different neighbor's backyards. I think that the lady that runs the office is married to the owner and is really mad at him, because she costing him business. read more

The crew was very nice, I like my fence, but they left my yard a mess!!!!!. Nails left everywhere!!!! I have two young kids (7&9) who are constantly bringing in nails and screws they find near the fence. This is especially concerning since they are barefoot at times getting on and off the trampoline. They broke and cut off branches from the trees around the fence and just left all the limbs around. (See pictures). I had a clock on my old fence which I found shattered on the ground, some of my outdoor lighting knocked over and left. Needed a redwood fence that separated my lot with a neighbors. They came out and gave a fair assessment (especially with today's lumber prices), and the installation crew installed 100 feet of fence in one afternoon. Would recommend them again. The only thing I'd caution Yelp users about is that when the crew is about to leave, actually physically inspect each plank they install by pulling on them. I didn't do this since I was jamming for a Zoom meeting, but when I went out later I found a couple of loose boards. Our next-door neighbor contracted All American Fence to repair the fence along our property line. We agreed to provide access to our backyard for the work. Rather than walk an extra 20 feet to come in through our driveway the All American Fence crew decided to open a hole through our hedge which was under repair and carry in cement, wood and other materials through a planted area with drip lines and ground cover. We only discovered this coming home early from work and when confronted, the crew just shrugged and said they would go around the hedge. All American Fencing Company was hired to replace our fence. The new fence was installed but damage to our sprinkler system occurred during the installation. None of which was disclosed to us. We found out that we had an issue when we were notified by our water company of an abnormal usage of water while we were away for the weekend. When I called and confronted All American on this it was shared that they are not liable for sprinkler lines, water lines or other buried utilities that may be damaged during fence installation. I'd be a little more understanding if they disclosed the damaged pipes and valves. Instead all was covered up leaving me to hire a landscaper to dig up the lines and determine where and what the issues are and make the required repairs. read more
