We appreciated that he pointed out a couple of things needing our attention but not having to do with the home's stability in case of earthquake. He then gave equal attention to the crawlspace, taking photos to show us what was down there. It was great to hear that our builder in 1981 had properly attached the upper construction to the foundation so that it didn't need any further reinforcement. We wanted to pay him for the two hours spent with us, but he refused saying it was part of the company's offer of a free inspection. Walt seemed very knowledgeable, thorough and honest, so it's easy to give him five stars!

Called their office today to inform them of a safety concern…read more As their crew left their HQ I noticed they were towing a trailer with a small backhoe... and that the trailer lights were not functioning at all. On top of that the right marker was completely missing. Figuring I'd save them the headache of a potential accident (that would clearly be their fault for failure to signal) I gave them a quick call, Cathy answered. She quickly told me that the lights just must be out. I tried to inform her it was more than that as the right marker was absent... no light at all. She proceeded to tell me they only needed a left and that the right was not required. What?!? That makes no sense... Here I am trying to help your business and you're getting defensive and snarky... wow. Upon further review, per Oregon Law she appears to be incorrect (as I guessed). Only needing a left signal and not needing a right makes no sense and is completely inaccurate. I'm sure your company can afford a huge payout due to negligence- your choice. Next time: "Don't shoot the messenger".
