We went from having too much heat to none after their first visit. The second team arrived for an expensive repair to the zone valve and stated the first teams evaluation was incorrect. They then proposed an even more expensive (unnecessary) solution. The second team then jury rigged an incorrect rated fuse in foil that didn't work rather than drive to Home Depot to get the correct fuses which were in stock. This company actually charged us money for work that stopped our heat in the middle of a cold snap and then wouldn't correct the problem until we paid them. Ultimately we had an electrician fix the problem in an hour with a new fuse. Dangerous, sloppy and expensive work from All American Home. Aaron and Matt did an awesome job installing my new furnace for me. They kept me informed as what was going on. Explaining everything I needed to know about the process by coming into the livingroom, as I was laid up on couch with a healing broken leg. They cleaned everything up and took all the trash and old furnace with them. They even saved me money by joining the members program. They were both very polite to me and even brought me a coffee from the Grind (yummy). Also put my household garbage in my trash can outside for me when the first showed up. This is with regards to boiler service/cleaning performed back in April 2025. We had not been able to have our boiler serviced for about two years due to other competing expenses. Tia was very courteous, polite, and helpful when scheduling our boiler service and persistent in following up with me to check in and see how things went and if there were things their business could improve upon. Johnny, the business' dispatcher, was timely in calling us on the day of service, letting us know when John was on his way and giving us a heads up if he would be delayed in reaching us, as John was juggling other services. John did call us, timely, and let us know when he was on his way. Even at one point offering to get some coffee for us, which I politely declined, but it was kind of him to offer. John was familiar to us as he and another crew member helped fixed our leaky shower head a couple of months back. Just like the service he provided then, he took time to go over what he was going to do, what was involved, how long it may take. And at times, during the course of the work, he would kindly ask me to come over to the boiler and show what he had done. It was really a great balance of him just working efficiently to get the boiler serviced, but also finding the time to pull me in and keep me informed on what he was doing. He kept me in the loop if additional things were needed to be done. He had a tablet in hand where in real time, he was able to tell me if the cost of the service was going to go up or down. He also made several recommendations in what needs to be done at some point in time. And when those recommendations were made, he gave me timelines on when the prices would be relatively the same, or when they would go up if I was not able to schedule something. He provided similar offerings when I needed our shower head replaced. Please note ... at no point did I feel pushed or rushed to do the recommendations. John was very informative and very chill with his approach. At the end, our boiler was cleaned. And I have yet to report any issues with the service. John and the team, once again, did an amazing job! They were very detailed, informative, helpful, and collaborative. I do have a note to reach out to them, hopefully before Fall season hits, to try and have them do some follow up work on the boiler per his recommendations. Absolute scam artists who will try and take you for every dollar. Some of their technicians are very knowledgeable and some are people with little to no formal plumbing experience at all. Unfortunately they only get business as they have the most available personnel in Juneau, and they will charge you for it. Regardless of any unforeseen circumstances they will try and ring as much money out of you as possible. Even during emergencies such as fuel leaks or frozen pipes there is no empathy to be found. My water heater needed to be replaced. It was leaking all over my floor. I called and spoke to Katie. She was very helpful. I was able to get on the schedule very quickly yesterday. John and Zack showed up and were very professional. While John went to get a new water heater, Zack emptied my old one. John came back with the new water heater and they proceeded to install it. They were very professional and helpful. I am recommending All American Home Service to all my friends. This is not the first time dealing with them either. They replaced the main water line into my home last month. It took less than a day with a backhoe and digging. They have been very courteous and prompt in all my dealings with them. read more

This is the worst experience that I have ever had with a business in Juneau. I paid 3K this morning to have 3 sinks plumbed in after having my countertops replaced. This is twice the amount that my usual plumbing company would have charged. It took 2 people 4 hours to install the sinks. That's $375 per person per hour. I supplied the sinks and faucets, not included in the 3K cost. About 15 minutes after leaving my house I started the dishwasher and water starting spraying out of the overflow all over my countertop and into the sink. Under the sink is leaking as well. I called the company and they told me the workers were already on another job, they could schedule an appointment for tomorrow. Then I was told that I would have to pay to have them come back out to fix their faulty work if it was determined that it was my fault. They plumbed in a sink and dishwasher, didn't test it then are going to use their own testimony to say it was my fault 15 minutes after they left my house. I feel like Alice in Wonderland. This is extortion. I asked to speak with the owners multiple times and staff refused to put me through. I have messaged both owners on LinkedIn and Facebook. We'll see if they get back to me. As a business owner I would be horrified to find out my staff had treated a customer this way. Their staff literally stood in front of me, after returning to my house in the evening and refused to fix their faulty work until I signed a waiver saying I would pay to have them fix it. I will have a company that I trust come out to the house and fix the faulty work and document the negligence. In addition, I did my research and the only reason there should be drainage out of an air gap is if there is a clog in the drain line (newly installed, how is there a clog), or in the air gap itself (also just installed)!!! I'm not sure how long public dialogue is appropriate or effective over past concerns, but meaningful peace must address truth and reason. You mention the benefits of a membership package. Coupons and check-ups have no value if trust has not been established. The 10% discount was not mentioned or indicated on the bill. The actual diagnostic test did not take anywhere near two hours. The time it took the tech to get there, poke around and clean-up is not the test. You mention other reasons for the $900.00 charged for an hour of labor. Sourcing the correct part: Your first proposal included a shipping charge for a warrantied part. The manufacturer told me there was no charge for warrantied parts. They described your labor charge as outrageous for the replacement. They also said that no one in this zip code is certified to work on their units. When I gave them the serial number, they said it had not been registered, as the installer should have done. After the manufacturer called your business, we were sent a proposal without the shipping cost. Your company told me you would not apply for the labor discount offered by the manufacturer. Is that too much effort on your part? Why am I being charged for doing your homework? You mention scheduling as part of the charge. How much does it cost to write my name on your calendar? Skilled labor: In the real world, I and many others have paid for our own education to become professionals in order to capably enter the work force. We do not charge others to drive to work or back from the job. We charge and are paid for the effective work we actually do. Just because pricing is "up front" doesn't mean it's fair when the client has no other choice. You can be sure I have asked other professionals to work on the unit, only to be told they won't touch it. You said that you are reviewing your training on empathy, etc. while justifying yourselves over every concern raised on this site. You have my contact information in your records. Engaged to install a shower valve but it was done incorrectly. The company refused to admit it was their mistake, fix the issue, or refund the money paid for an incorrectly done job. Communication was initially responsive, but became increasingly difficult when the company's "solution" was for us to contract them for another $4000+ to fix the issue they created. Well, well, well....I thought I called a plumbing service but I got taken to the cleaners! Read on if you can, but this post will likely get deleted by the page administrator before the weekend is over. Up front pricing was not up front...got a call half way through the service visit; told I had to pay $732 for a service that any ordinary plumbing service (even a union ran shop) would've only charged half that and was told if I didn't pay they'd happily leave things for someone else to handle. My tenant's son was at the house when the service was performed and said the tech was there for maybe two hours total...with a 45 minute parts run in between....I was quoted a labor rate of...."well I think it's $180 per hour sir...so said the technician"...but the tech didn't know for sure...and then he told me the 50-cent o-ring for the hot water shutoff valve was around $300; then they said there was the cost for a tub drain assembly...that looks like a whopping twenty bucks in ABS plastic...so again...called a plumber...got taken to the cleaners....I guess that's why they're called All American Home Service...because they charge you for both plumbing and cleaning. LOL I was a project manager in Juneau doing commercial construction for more than 10 years and never had I had this happen with a local sub. My how times have changed. Oh and when I called and left a message; I got a call back from a "customer service rep" that said we hear your concerns, but we're in training for the next week or so, so don't try calling back, but we'll call you....yeah, so that was three weeks ago. Must've had to make sure my credit card payment went through eh? I usually don't vent like this, but Juneau friend be forewarned...up front pricing means; don't let them do a darned thing until you have the quote....they were half way into the job before they called, which left me no choice but to give in...and they knew I was out of town so they had me by the you know what.... So next time, take it from me, call a plumber...not a home service...because this one will charge you for more than you can bargain for. And yes, I asked a local plumber here in Oregon what that should've cost me and he said even at the 24-hour emergency rate, $400 would've been on the high side...ugh....frustrating indeed. read more

I had to have a leaking oil tank replaced. It was part of a two tank system. One tank was on the road and the tank needing replacement was down a hill by a beach cabin. The company was paid to clean out the furnace as part of the yearly service contract. A few months later the furnace stopped working. A technician came out and found that something that should have been fixed during service was missed and made the fix for free which one would expect since they missed it the first time. Two more months pass and the furnace stops once again. A technician came out and after less then 5 minutes of troubleshooting informed me that I would need a new fuel pump and the furnace cleaned out. I was given a quote just north of a 1000 dollars. I asked a friend who works on commercial heating to come give me their opinion and they were able to adjust the fuel pump that I was told needed replacement and when we opened the furnace found that it had not been cleaned out in a long time. Clearly the work that was stated as completed in June was in fact not done as written. This type of build up could have caused serious danger to my house and family. I will not be using this business in the future. While others may have better results I caution others to be very observant when requesting any work from this company. read more

It took four guys two hours to figure out that we had a break and our pipe underneath our house that connects to the toilet. They said they could dig out the trench or we could to save money. We were out of town the time they were going to replace the pipe. My husband dug out 10 feet of trench, as advised by these jokers. They were supposed to replace pipe and told my son who was watching my house they could not replace it until my husband dug 3 more feet. Of course he couldn't as we were out of town for 2 more weeks. I spoke to the nasty receptionist who refused to give me the plumber's cell to ask what the issue was. Finally received a call back and wad told they "Don't do any digging." What the fuck?
