He then replaced ugly carpeting on two sets of stairs and replaced hardwood stairs. This included staining and and putting two coats of polyurethane on the stairs. What was once a major eyesore is now beautiful, to say the least. George is very professional and does solid work. Even better than that his prices are fair. This was supposed to be a winter job, per CML's fall FB post "looking for indoor winter work" but by mid-March, still a no-go, while building materials piled up around the house (unlike every other contractor we've ever worked with, CML wants you to locate, buy, and store all remodel materials yourself). If they had said from the start: "Actually, this job wont be done this winter. Mid-spring is more like it" then we would have planned accordingly. But every month was another delay. The fact that there are no other reviews here should have alerted/warned me from the beginning. Look elsewhere.

They did not meet their stated completion date and we had to move in with construction going on for another couple of months! The project start date was delayed two months as well. Some of their work was done well but other things were not, and we requested them to be corrected when significant. When they were nearly finished, they started balking at correcting errors and demanding more money, and that is when we stopped the project with a few tasks left uncompleted. At times they behaved professionally and polite and other times they would act insulted and angry with our requests for corrections or additions ignored.
