I think that the nostalgia that comes with remembering the best day of our lives made me feel compelled to pay it forward (now that I have time in quarantine) in the form of glowing reviews. This company was a game changer for our wedding. We hired Jaclyn a little late to the game, and had her help us plan the month before the wedding happened. From her first phone call with us we knew that she really knew her stuff. She clued us in on things that we didn't even consider (PA marriage license laws, locations of photo shoots, logistical issues, etc.). She regularly checked in with us and made sure we were all on track with the planning process in the weeks leading up to the wedding. On the day of, her team was absolutely indispensable. They kept us all on time (not easy as our bridal party was 16!), looking great, and feeling great. There were so many little touches that I appreciated so much...the messages in these little carved wooden birds that she had us exchange with each other in the morning before the ceremony, the fact that her team was all on board with helping us make my pipe dream of smoke bomb photos come true (thank you thank you for breathing in those colored fumes so we could get cool pictures!), how she and the team helped manage the crowd at our reception. I love throwing parties, I have thrown several since moving into this house, and I actually am one of those people that loves all of the work that goes into planning and executing parties. I have cooked, by myself, for as many as 80 people before, but this time - I just wanted to be taken care of for once, instead of being the host that's taking care of everyone else. I knew about Swig because I followed them on Instagram, and decided to contact Sara and talk to her about my event. It was a smaller event - about 40 people total - and I had it catered (first time not providing all the food myself!), so I really just wanted someone to stay on top of cleanliness and food and drink replenishment. Sara assured me that this is exactly what Swig is there for, so we decided to hire just one server to assist with our party. Angelique arrived on time (in fact I think she was a little early!) and immediately felt like a member of my family. She was so sweet and friendly, right off the bat. She got right to work and did everything I asked of her (and more) - she assisted with setting up the food when the caterer arrived while I ran around and took care of some last minute details and greeted my guests as they arrived. This also freed me up to have some family photos taken with my photographer before the event, which was awesome! Throughout the night she checked with me several times to see if there was anything I needed from her, but honestly, I couldn't think of anything more than she was already doing! She was on the ball, all night. She made sure the food and drinks were replenished when needed, and the tables were cleaned throughout the night. She even went into my house and did some dishes in my sink (not even party dishes!!) and grabbed some containers to pack up the leftover food. This was an amazing detail that I always seem to forget when I throw my own parties, and wait too long and end up having to toss the food. Thanks to Angelique, we have leftovers for days and I am very excited about the tacos I'll be eating for dinner tonight! By the end of the night, I looked around and the whole barn looked exactly as it had when I was setting it up and decorating hours earlier - like a party had not even taken place yet. Every surface was clean, there was nothing spilled anywhere, and all the trash was taken care of. Several of my guests remarked to me on how friendly she was, and what an amazing job she did as well. Hiring Swig was hands-down the BEST money I spent for this party, and I would hire them again without hesitation. In fact, I may never do my own party again, as long as Swig is around! It was SO nice to be able to relax, eat, and socialize with my friends and family on such a special day, instead of having to make sure we didn't run out of tortilla chips or water bottles. And after we had our wedding, our guest did nothing but rave about how fun, unique and perfect the reception was. But just having a reception at RTM is not what I'd recommend it. It was so much more. It was having the incredible variety of foods - we had cheesesteaks, DiNic's roast pork, Chinese food, a salad bar, poutine and corn dogs, grilled cheese from Meltkraft, the list goes on. It was having a historic and unique setting that was transformed into a beautiful evening even with string lights, candles, table clothes, decorations and provided an ambiance it'd be impossible to replicate anywhere else. It was the servers who attended to our guests every need, kept the party going, the room clean and the people happy. It was every little touch that the planning team executed perfectly for us, that all happened without us realizing it, without any reminders or questions. The planning team at All About Events were the true heroes of the night - and in fact, the whole planning process. We met with them about 15 months before our wedding, and Christina, Stevie and Liam made sure that everything was easy, fun and exciting. Christina's emails to us were always clear and thorough, addressing every little question I had asked, and pointing out tiny things I never would have thought of. Stevie's communication with our vendors was so appreciated, including our Mummers and DJ! And every time we met with them, the meetings were exciting, joyful. Their personalities and kindness and caring for us and our events just SHONE. We could not recommend RTM and AAE more. They are a truly wonderful team, and a gem in the Philadelphia wedding scene. Our venue provided a coordinator, but we were concerned that we would not receive the attention to detail that we were looking for. Danielle hit it out of the park! From day one, she took over managing the contracts with all of our vendors, fielded all calls and questions from them, was always available to answer our endless questions, etc. But I can honestly say that our actual wedding day would not have turned out as wonderful as it was if Danielle and her lovely assistant Fran were not on site to make sure everything went perfectly. They set everything up according to the floorplan we created together, made sure everything went as planned, broke down and boxed up everything afterwards, and then even loaded our vehicle.
