When the seal failed on my windshield, a dealership told me they would have to break the glass out and replace both the glass and the seal. I was told my install would be 1 hr to 1.5 hours. After 2 hours I asked why I was still there. The owner explained to me as he wiped his dirty fingers over my clean newly installed windshield that it was in fact installed. It was just that my car required a special glue for the mirror mount. I had sat sweating in a filthy stinking waiting room to be insulted and mocked by those who couldn't speak much English and had me in their control as my mirror hung dangling. After 4 hours of waiting I was casually told my car was ready.. I claimed it to find bits of glass scattered and adhesive on my dash that I was worried would not come off. It did come off for the most part. If you don't mind filthy dirty surroundings and rude no English speaking workers and management that disrespects your time then by all means use this disgrace of customer service. Sought to have wind noise and water from leaking into windshield of attached vehicle. Owner, manager, boss and or father informed of all possibilities that could cause me to purchase a new windshield. Proceeded with disclosure in mind: Hind sight, I realized the intents and purpose of this business is selling windshields and not customer service nor "windshield repair"l. After not receiving professional courtesy of being welcomed and appreciated as a customer/human. 1.5 hour later min later, I had a new windshield and a bill of $165. Not a bad price for a windshield new one but a decent price to replace one that was perfect before arriving. I was told it might get cracked on the removal and while visually inspecting after removed and the meticulous care observed with the removal. Technician had another staff to carefully place glass in safe location, I was floored when I looked away for ten minutes and behold a new glass was being installed. While entering office to pay and inquire what was damaged and I didn't see a crack in window prior to new one being installed to who I will say, the younger assistant manager, boss, heir was willing to discount by $20. There was no warranty,, the younger gentleman states, if the problem I initially sought service is not resolved, then more than likely the windshield sealing was not the problem it was was probably the passenger door seal. (No the plot thickens)The older gentleman objected, but suddenly wanted to acknowledge my concern only when I informed I will post my less than pleasant experience. The manager, boss owner who treated me so insignificant through his and our encounter, suddenly became so defensive even though his assistant wanted him to realize I wasn't given full disclosure through the process and wanted to make it somewhat right. The attached was written by this gentleman to justify the greedy gray "shady" business practice I encountered. I will not be back and thought I would get a fair deal after providing care for the previous 8 hours to more vulnerable customer service recipients of our society. One person at this place is motivated simply by getting money and justifying by a less than honest business model. I will give 5 stars for being able to sale a glass. Long review ahead..... I chose All Auto Glass based on the rating and reviews here on Yelp as well as on Google. Pretty standard job....replace the windshield on my Mini Cooper. I arrive and am greeted by who appears to be the owner. Smooth check in process and I'm asked to wait in the waiting area. Installation should take about an hour. Just over an hour passes and I'm told my vehicle is ready. When I walk out to the car I can see that everyone is kinda standing around looking as I approach my car. Kevin (the owner?) is standing by my passenger door, clearly waiting to talk to me. He proceeds to say that the technician was unable to save the molding that sits between the windshield and passenger door. It was cracked in the process of removal (photo below). He continues to say that this is not uncommon during removal and I can call any window repair business and they will tell me the same. Of course I tell him this is unacceptable and why in the hell would I call another shop to validate your error. There is absolutely no reason I should be leaving with damage to my vehicle that I did not arrive with. He literally tries to convince me that it is ok as if I would just leave with a cracked molding. He was also careful to say several times "you don't have to worry, it will not leak". My thoughts as he's talking is "I bet Safelite and these other national brands aren't out here breaking shit on people's cars like it's normal". After some back and forth it was proposed that he would either discount the windshield repair for what it would cost me to have the molding repaired OR he would order the molding and replace it. We agreed for him to order the molding and I would return to have it replaced. That was trip #1..... The following week I received a text from Kevin stating that the molding had arrived. I found time to return to the shop for them to replace it. Again seems to be a simple job....snap off, snap on however it did take longer than I anticipated. I was there at least 45 mins. In the end, I thanked Kevin for making the situation right because it truly was the right thing for him to do. As I thanked him he hands me a $20 bill and says sorry for the inconvenience. I'm impressed and thanked him again for his customer service with the intent of writing a favorable review despite the inconvenience. This is trip #2..... Fast forward a few weeks....I'm on a road trip. Once I arrive to my destination I decide to have my car washed. As I proceed through the wash tunnel I see drops of water on my dashboard. There are 2 leaks in the windshield right around the rearview mirror. Water is dripping on the inside of the glass and puddling on the dashboard. I immediately take pictures and text them to Kevin. He responds apologetically and says there is a lifetime warranty on workmanship and to just bring it back. Later on my return trip I drove through rain and of course the windshield leaked again. Here I am a few days back from my trip and I find time once again to return to All Auto Glass. The same technician looks at the windshield and decides "just to be safe" he will completely remove the windshield and reset it. An hour plus wait and I'm done. This was trip #3..... Only time will tell if this truly rectifies the issue. In the end I have certainly been inconvenienced on more than one occasion. While Kevin and his workers seem to have decent intent, there is no reason I should have had this experience. I will not patronize this business again and would not recommend it to others. You can decide for yourself if this is where you want to spend your money. Just sharing my experience and opinion. read more

I recently had a windshield replaced on my car by All Auto Glass at my residence & I watched the technician install it while inside. Everything looked smooth until I noticed that when he was removing my old windshield, the tool that he had used to remove the adhesive from the old windshield had blasted through and slammed into a molding piece the cowl area. He then reinstalled the new unit, and as he was reinstalling the molding around the windshield, I noticed him put on the same adhesive to keep the molding on. After the install, I immediately noticed a deep humming coming from my a/c unit or vent just below the area that had been slammed into with the removal tool. In addition, I was driving on the freeway when the molding on the front driver's side ripped off, and I immediately had to pull over. After taping it back on temporarily, I began investigating what the cause was. I immediately noticed that all of the retainer clips on my car were broken, which is why they put adhesive on, to keep in place. Clearly that didn't work, and the adhesive was put on my car was very difficult to remove, as it should be (the same adhesive to keep my windshield intact) and also prevented me from being able to properly reinstall the retainer clip & molding. I contacted them immediately, and the manager Richard said to come down to the shop so they could take a look at it and fix it. I drove all the way down to Grand Prairie (over an hour drive) where their shop is located to show them the damage. After being inspected by four employees, including the owner, they told me that none of this was their fault. I asked few questions, all with unexpected responses, such as "So should I have just assumed that I would automatically have to purchase new retainer clips because you would break the existing ones?", "Yes" was his replay; as well as "So you're suggesting this is all a coincidence, that the noise from my a/c was not created by you?", again the response was "Yes". Unbelievable. They said "as a courtesy" they would replace the retainer clips, but not the molding, at that I would have to drive all the way back down there for them to install, after they had received them. After collecting a gas reimbursement from the owner, I was on my way. I exchanged several texts with them shortly after regarding how discontent I was about the lack of professionalism and resolution, with replies that made no sense and in broken English that made it difficult to understand and argumentative. I also never heard back from them about receiving the replacement retainer clips. I'm making the point to write this review very carefully as a duty to any of their future customers. While their prices may be slightly cheaper that the competitors, you will pay much more in the end after cleaning up what they damaged. No accountability, no respect, and very unprofessional. I was in Dallas visiting my relatives and borrowed a car to go shopping. Harmless, right? Someone broke into my aunt's car - all for what?? There was nothing missing (nothing to take) and I was left with a door glass to replace. My aunt kind of freaked out but I assured her I can get it fixed quickly, without any confidence I could. I will NOT be using this Business Ever Again.. Took my Chevy Silverado in to replace a Cracked Windshield , While taking off the old windshield the Technician Broke my light Sensor on the top console.. it's pushed down into the console now, then while gluing my new windshield back on , used a old adhesive tube that was getting hard already ,as I watch him take off some of the already harden adhesive off my truck ,he eventually changed the Tube . Long Story Short , My Truck now has Water coming in on the Passenger side . Took it back to stop the water from coming in , and First they tried to blame it on several other things, but when they put a water hose on the surrounding windshield, water came in ..asked I come back the next day at 8:30am , so I show up on time for the appointment, they remove the wiper cover and side door molding and say nope no water ,which just yesterday they saw the water coming in and if that wasn't bad enough, now I got this extra plastic piece that they didn't put back on from under the wiper cover smh... so Frustrated read more

This is the second part of a two part review concerning a Mobile Auto Body repair outfit and All Auto Glass Installation Inc. My son crunched his driver's side door at a parking garage in Austin and brought it to me to deal with. I found both the mobile body repair and the mobile glass installation businesses on Craigs List. The body repair guy fixed the door to where it would open again and was fixed except he didn't correctly straighten out the window track to where the new window would slide all the way up. When Sean got to the point to where he was ready to install the glass and found the problem he offered to help bang on the track so my son would have a usable window. With time running out (it was starting to get dark) and me helping, we finally got the window track on the door straightened and the window properly installed. Kudos to Sean on giving the extra effort to make sure my son had a complete door. Cost. $110.00 plus a deserved $20.00 tip. Highly recommended. read more
