Since the wedding was quickly approaching, we didn't get a chance to meet Brittany until the morning of our day. She seemed very friendly over email - but what if we didn't click? Would she understand what we wanted? I was nervous. The very moment Brittany and Esther (hand-selected by Brittany to be our second photographer) walked in, my fears were immediately put to rest. They were vibrant, happy and oh so warm and friendly! They went to work straight away, and without even asking... they somehow knew every shot I wanted as if they were reading my mind. I gave Brittany and Esther the hardest task of all: Try and coral all our wedding guests (about 90 people) after our ceremony for a group photo. This would be intimidating to anyone. My young nephews were losing steam QUICKLY and our guests were itching for the refreshing cocktails located just steps away. But somehow this impossible task was completed in only 10-15 minutes - and Brittany and Esther did everything under the sun to make sure everyone (especially my nephews) were laughing and smiling the whole time. We couldn't have been happier, and towards the end of the night Brittany and Esther felt like family. Most of the other photographers I found were using silly photoshop filters or taking pictures at an angle to make the photos look creative, which I think is really cheesy. But what stuck out for me in Steve's sample photos were that all the images were so sharp and looked naturally beautiful. Before I met Steve, I had worked with several other local photographers and I can say Steve was by FAR the best to work with. He pays a lot of attention to the details in the photo like the sourroundings, positioning and lighting. His photos are beautiful, plus his prices blow the competition out of the water! The best park is he even gives you ALL the photos on a CD when your done. He offered to touch up 10 photos for free, but we didn't even think they needed touching up because they came out so well. I'd like to think I am not a vain person, but when I needed my passport pictures taken, I wanted…read moresomething I would like for 10 years. :) I had pictures taken at both Walgreens and CVS, and while they "would do", those poor folks are not photographers - just click, and keep on to the next person. I wanted something more professional and MWD was the ticket. Maggie did a great job making sure everything was just right (hair, clothes placement, all the details that rushed retail folks don't have time for). I also liked that I could actually see the photo to confirm I liked it, and we took multiple shots to get the one I wanted. Maggie was able to get European-compliant photos for me, and I had no problem at the consulate when applying for a passport. Worth the price!
