I prepaid and booked our session. The facilities are located in the Wychwood art building on the second floor. We arrived early, and the studio was clear, so we were able to begin early. It was a little smaller than I expected, but certainly has everything required. Our staff was super friendly, and reassured us we'd be able to complete our projects. She went through the various pieces we could choose from to make. Both of us went for a solid bird, and blown lamp. We started with the bird. For the bird, we could choose up to 3 colours. She explained what each would look like once applied. She demonstrated what we would be doing, and had us try some practice with the rod. She pulled the molten glass from the furnace, and handed it over to us to roll into the frit colours we selected. She watched as we put the glass in to make sure we applied the right amount of pressure and rolled it before it cooled too much. The pieces then go into the hottest of the 3 furnaces. She stood behind a protective screen while the 2 of us watched with our protective eyewear. We then moved to another bench where we shaped the beaks and tails ourselves with metalworking tongs. She guided us verbally and advised a very strong pinch and pull to shape. Our little creatures then went into the last of the 3 furnaces, at the lowest temp, where they would cool overnight. For our second piece, we would be shaping by blowing rather than tongs. A rubber tube and disposable mouth bit are used, which she demonstrated. She advised that we need to blow pretty forcefully, and watched us practice before saying "when." Again, she drew the molten glass from the first furnace, and handed the rod over for me to apply the frit colours I had chosen. She then manipulated it a bit before I came in with tube in mouth to blow and shape it. Also mind blowing to anticipate that I'd be using my creation at home! For the lamps, they provide a perpetual wick with the finished piecec, and you can get the paraffin oil at a local hardware store. Once again, our second pieces joined our first to cool in the third furnace before we could collect them. It's an expensive experience, but totally worth it. The expertise and special equipment involved are beyond. Our staff was super nice and answered a lot of questions by the time we were done. We were done early, but then we had started early. It was naturally warm in the studio, but the fans made it bearable. You need to return on another day to collect your finished items. They are packed and stored in an outdoor bench box at a house near the studio. Luckily there's some street parking nearby. I didn't have any trouble parking on a close by street and quickly picking up the bagged items in the box. You have 30 days to collect them, or they'll be disposed of. It was a great experience and memory. It was unique, and having the items afterwards is an awesome way to have your own art as a souvenir. I would come back as a gift to other loved ones again.

The solid piece, you can get a glass bird, bubble bowl, blown egg and glass heart. If two people you will have to select the same piece but can choose different colours. It was lots of fun in a sense you dip your glass in the colour beads. But when we bring it to the machine, Minna will help us. For the blowing piece, we have to blow into the glass on our own. It was a fun experience. Good for date nights and celebrations. Check it out!

What a gem this place is! It sucks that this place was super hidden and their parking was a bit…read moreweird but they also had more parking available beside the plaza. They had a decent size playground and a bouncy castle, separate section for food and lounge which was super nice. Every guest was able to spread out. When you first walk into the place, you were greeted by a sign to take off all your shoes. On your right, there was the splatter room - more for big kids to express themselves if they didn't want to paint. In the left part of the shop was the pottery area. There were many different selections to choose from. The kids loved this but were discourage about their selections since they were only able to choose from the 1st shelf to the third. However, they still enjoyed it very much when they started painting. In the back of the place, they also sell espresso and coffee. Some of us were waiting for a bit and then gave up. There was only two people attending to everyone so it was okay. Do come here, you will definitely enjoy yourself! TIP: do not wear white anything. Don't even wear white socks! The teenagers had to take off their socks to go into the splatter room and end up stepping in paint. DO COME with the expectation to get dirty! ENJOY FELLOW YELPERS!

Pieces to choose from ranged depending on the size of the figurine. There were different animals including figurines, cups, plates, piggy banks and something similar to a jewelry/keepsake box to choose from. - Cow figurine: 15.00$ - Pig figurine: 15.00$ - Mermaid figurine: 26.00$ These prices included the use of their space, brushes and allowed us to choose what colours to use to paint our figurines. There was no time limit either, I think we stayed for about two hours. The girl working there let my niece play in the play area as a party had just left, which was really nice of her. Anyway, we paid and she informed us they would call to let us know when to pick up our pieces. Approximately one week. She called exactly a week later and we picked up our items. We felt the paint was a bit thin so I guess next time we have to do multiple layers to have a better end result. The only con is the parking is limited and cramped. There's more in the back of the building though. Besides that, I would recommend this place, it's great for parents to bring their kids. It's such a fun and relaxing environment, worth giving it a try.

We were here for the open house…read more Loved that Sonshine and broccoli, a local Toronto duo that was a Juno nominee in 2019 performed and even gave my kid an autographed photo. They made the open house very exciting! It was our favourite part! Love that parking is readily available around. Loved the many activities they had planned: colouring, face paint, sonshine and broccoli concert, popcorn, cake pop, and a play room for toddlers. We were disappointed to feel a little brushed off though - starting with the introduction into the room, we weren't given a spiel like others were. Felt great through the concert! But next we did the cake pop, and there was a line. We waited in line. The person making ours, started to roll it, but it wouldn't form together, so she left it on a plate and started making the next one, which she promised would be ours. We thought the next one will be for our kid, but she started asking the next kid what that kid would like on their cake pop. So we got skipped. I told the other employee and thankfully that one made it for us. Kid was still happy. Next we waited for face paint, with Ms Em in line. We waited a long time for a few kids in front of us to get their face painted, and when we were up next, one woman brought her maybe grandkid in and pushed her grandkid in front of us, saying they were in line but left the line to see other things (we never saw her in line the whole time we were in line). So she got her grandkid in as her English wasn't great to communicate but what disappointed us was that the employees didn't do anything about this and made us wait another 10-15 minutes for another face paint and hand paint for this kid. That really hurt that the employees would try to skip us while we waited so long for things and really ruined our morning. Because of the three disappointments, I don't recommend this art studio, I would rather recommend CCSA in leaside for the same activities but better care about to future and present clients. The lady in the drawing room was kind and there were lots of nice paintings and art work done there. Gave was enthusiastic and happy, great person there! He gave us popcorn and it was great! And of course, we loved sonshine and broccoli! We still tried to enjoy the rest of the day and relax from the stress of this.

I had such a great experience here on Mother's Day 2025!…read more My family of 5 and booked a spot the day before, and on the day of, we were greeted so kindly by the whole Crockadoodle team. Right away, we went to the wall to see what ceramics we could pick from and then Alex filled us in on where everything is and what steps to take. Overall, you have about 90min to pick a ceramic and paint it. They had a great selection of paints, brushes and other tools to choose from. Alex was so kind, patient & helpful throughout our whole experience. My whole family enjoyed our experience, and my mom really enjoyed the added personal touch of one of the staff members giving out roses to all the moms. I would definitely come back!

The birthday person gets to keep the big canvas that everyone splattered on. Each individual gets their own splatter work of art on a big piece of paper as well. They also do other parties where you can actually paint something instead of just splattering paint. I would recommend this place for both kids and adults who wants to have some fun with paint. It does gets bit messy. But totally fun!

Great 2 in 1 date night idea to spin your own pottery + paint your own pottery…read more Booked in advance to do their pottery class. It was with 6 of us to one instructor, which was the owner, Kent. I loved that Kent walked us through each step while demonstrating and doing the pottery with us. It really helped with this step by step instructions to understand and to make our own pieces. The pottery spinning was a lot of fun and I can't wait to do it again. We made 2 pieces each and were able to pick which pieces we wanted fired (could have both or just one). The great thing about this was that you can come back at another date to paint your pottery piece at an additional cost. The only odd experience throughout this entire activity was when we called in trying to see if we needed a reservation to come in the day before Valentine's day (Feb 13) to paint our pottery, and was asked to pay a fee to secure our spot. But then told us it's a walk in basis to paint any pottery (which is free without a fee). So of course we did not pay to secure a spot, since it seemed unnecessary. We just walked in and there were plenty of spots available for our painting. Overall, it was a great experience with the pottery spinning - lots of fun and a great activity to do with a partner.

When we went to pick up our pieces, we found out they had messed them up during the firing process. Disappointing, but mistakes can happen. What really bothered us was the way they handled it. The night before, I received a call saying we could come in for a refund. There was no mention of any conditions or exceptions. But when we got there, we were told they only give refunds for payments made by card--since we paid cash, we could only get store credit. That kind of last-minute surprise feels unfair and unprofessional. If we had been told that detail over the phone, we wouldn't have wasted our time going in expecting a refund. Instead, we were basically forced to accept store credit and now have to go back and spend more money just to make up for their mistake. We won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who values honesty and accountability.
