I wanted to post this a while ago, but with the after moving mess and unpacking, I didn't realize that the feedback I started was not live yet. I recently used All in Moving Systems for the 2nd time to move me from Morgan Hill CA to Walnut Creek CA and movers did another wonderful move! The management is responsive and takes their time to explain how things work. As soon as I submitted my info trough their website, dispatch got back to me in about 15 minutes with moving details. They called me the day before my move to remind about the appointment, and what really surprised me , the even called the next day to follow up, isn't it nice :) My movers were Andrew, Max and Peter this time, and they are professional movers, very efficient, and really fast even though my move became longer than I thought... thanks to freight elevator being broken... I used Five Star Moving Companies this past weekend to move me out of a 2b2b on the 2nd floor into a 1b1b on the 3rd floor. I was initially suspicious of the $60 deposit over PayPal, but it ended up working out well. I was scheduled to have the movers arrive between 8 and 9 AM. Tim, Vitalik, and Sasha called to let me know they'd arrive in 20 mins and arrived at 9AM. From the beginning until the end, the guys were professional, cordial, fast, hard working, careful, and helpful. I had pretty much my entire apartment packed in boxes prior to them arriving. It took them around 3 hours to get all of the boxes and my furniture into the truck (I had a lot of furniture). They wrapped all of my furniture in plastic wrap and blankets. 40 min drive to my apartment and two hours to unload everything to the 3rd floor (no elevator). In total, I was charged for 5.75 hours. The $60 deposit was removed from my total and I paid the difference at the end of the move. As I said earlier, they were very friendly and careful with my furniture. I would highly recommend using their service and I plan to use them again next time I need to move. read more

We used Five Star Moving to move our 2 bedroom apartment to new apartment. The crew gave us a 15 min heads up call before they came in. Peter, George and Vitalik did an awesome job to make our move easy. They arrived right on time to start the move around 9 or 9:30 AM. We had co-ordinated with Daniel about the time and stuff, he answered all our questions and was pretty straight forward. He also gave us a call a day after the move to know if everything went well. We had almost all the stuff packed and ready before the arrived in the morning on moving day. Peter, George and Vitali were very quick, efficient and very careful with the delicate items. They helped us pack the glass items and few smaller items too. They wrapped the sofa and bigger items with plastic wrap and blankets as needed. Entire move took about 5 hrs and the crew did not waste much time. They disassembled the bigger items in new apartment and also had runners in the new apartment so that the apartment carpet would not get dirty. Having moved friends a couple of times before, I know it involves hours of labor, an unseemly number of back-and-forth trips, long periods of deliberation over the best series of rotations to apply to a couch to get it through an apparently shrinking doorway, a few nasty gouges in the wall by errant furniture, and smashed fingers. Always, the smashed fingers. Apparently, this is not how professionals do it. Jason and Misha came early in the morning, wrapped everything with an edge in a furniture blanket (note to self: furniture blankets are much less painful than body parts for cushioning furniture), put clothes in special wardrobe boxes, tied off cables with cable ties (!), applied 3D-Tetris transformations to get it into the truck, and then unloaded at the new place with no more fuss on my part than deciding what goes where. So, while I treasure the friends that I have helped move over the years, I also treasure my fingers. Two non-hurt thumbs up on using these guys. read more

I had them pack for me and they did it very quickly and efficiently. (I have a LOT of books and I am very glad I didn't have to pack them myself.) This move was the most affordable one out 4 times that I've had to relocate for the past 5 years. I've found this moving company in Santa Clara, and it has the best and the most affordable hourly rates out of all moving companies in Bay area that I've called! The company's rep contacted me the day before my move to confirm my appointment. On Saturday morning, guys called me approximately an hour before the appointment to let me know that they were on their way. Movers showed up on time, actually few minutes early. Thanks! The crew members introduced themselves as Andrew & Shane and immediately started moving my stuff from the third floor down into their truck that was parked next to my building. I recently hired Five Star to help me with my move and I could not recommend them more! It was my first time hiring movers, and I had some pretty heavy furniture, so I was wary of cost and the services provided. The entire process from getting an estimate, to booking, and the move itself was, however, the easiest part of my move. (Seriously, it was harder to find someone to clean the carpet than it was to book and pull off this move!) I ended up hiring a team of three, one foreman (Peter) and two movers (Lejon and George). They called ahead of time to let me know when they would arrive, showed up right away, and within minutes they were hard at work packing my apartment. I was extremely impressed with how much care they showed for my belongings. Everything was wrapped tightly in moving blankets and plastic. Peter even did a quick repair job on my entertainment center because the top had come loose over the years and he didn't want it to break during the move. We just completed our move from a 2 bedroom apartment into a 3 bedroom house. My wife hired Five Star Moving Companies after a yelp search. They arrived on time and phoned ahead when they were 20 minutes out. We used Brute Box crate rental which made the move super smooth. Everything small was in crates when the moving crew arrived. Our apartment is on the second floor but they no issue with heavy furniture, nursery items, or awkward things. I was impressed with how thoroughly they wrapped and protected all our furniture. The movers work quick and there is a flurry of activity packing up the truck. Three hours in the truck was loaded up and we headed to the new house. We had just refinished the hardwood floors so the movers laid out pads on the ground through the hallway and also in the nursery. All the items went to their correct location. No mishaps, lost or broken items, or anything of the sort. Five Star Moving estimated a 6 hour move and delivered almost to the minute. I also liked that they took me off the clock as they re-packed their truck with pads and tie downs and stuff that they brought with them. Like most people, I find moving a stressful proposition. Movers in general have a bad reputation for overcharging or taking advantage of the customer. Five Star Moving is an honest and effective moving operation. Daniel was super helpful and flexible to adjust the time on a Wednesday afternoon. 2 guys patric and charles show up and worked relentlessly for a few hours and my 1bed room was packed. Based on previous good reviews, we booked Five star moving company to shift from one BHk to two BHK apartment. The company is very professional , they called a day ahead to remind about the booking and also a day after moving to ensure if everything went well. The crew, Tim & Alex arrived on time and quickly started up packing.. they neatly packed the furniture with blankets including the TV, since we dint have a box for it. They had come well prepared with good amount of packing materials, carts, toolbox,etc. They even helped disassemble and reassemble our swing.. This past weekend we moved out a ton of stuff from our 2 br/2 ba condo into a storage unit using Five Star. I gave All In Moving Systems 2 stars because I rehired them after my first great experience with them a year ago. During that time I had great movers and even after my television got damaged by one of the worker's accidentally kicking it, they fixed the issue. Due to all of this I decided to rehire them when I was moving a year later. Again this time around, the movers were nice and efficient. Since they were working constantly I provided them with lunch (which I believe one should do and I also tipped them). They were moving my items from Milpitas to Sunnyvale. Upon arriving to Sunnyvale a couple of my furniture items were damaged. I understand that some of my other furniture pieces we were not in good condition, in which the workers let me know. But these 2 particular items weren't originally damaged and I noticed this after they left. The next day when manager contacted me I let him know service was good, but of my damaged items. I told him one was nicked and the other was slanted and loose. I even sent him pictures. He was rude and said that's what happens with cheap furniture and that I had something damaged last year, so if it was like he was accusing me of lying. All I wanted was for them to acknowledge and try to touch it up or fix it, but after the way he spoke to me on the phone I didn't want to have anything to do with them anymore. I can say I am truly disappointed from this experience to the great previous experience I had. I will not be using them for my future moves. read more

This was my top choice in moving companies after reading the reviews, however after 5 days of voicemails, text, and filling out online request form on their web site I still have had no response from them at all and am wondering if they are even open anymore. I have only good things to say about five-star moving companies, and I would hire them again for any moving jobs in a heartbeat. My job was for a move within Santa Clara from a storage facility to my new home. The amount of things moved was the equivalent of a full bedroom /2 bathroom + garage 2 story townhome, with seriously heavy things (piano/granite table etc...). It was a team of 4 movers (and I helped on the side). Here are some facts: 1. They arrived early, ahead of schedule, and I arrived a little bit late (10 min). They started counting time and booking me only when we started loading things. 2. They finished the whole loading/packing + 3 mile drive + unloading/partial unpacking in 3hr 15 mins. 3. They were fast/efficient, but take great care in packing fragile items and did not rush and break/damage anything. 4. They followed instructions assiduously when I told them to carefully pack. 5. They was no BS extra charges. Just the hourly rate. And their rates are very competitive for the santa clara area. 6. They were very polite, and I was very impressed with their hustling/good attitude. These guys definitely deserve the "five-star" nickname. read more

We used All In Moving San Jose, CA this last weekend to move our 89 year old Mom from her current 1 bedroom apartment to her new apartment right across the street. We had all items boxed and ready for moving except the furniture and her most precious stained glass lamps (5 of them). From the time I called to inquire about their services until the morning of the move all went very smoothly and they stayed in touch with me by text (awesome). They made it so easy and trustworthy !!! Sergey and Vitaly did the actual moving and not only were they expert with taking great care with the lamps, they were timely, efficient, and extremely helpful with questions and concerns from our Mom. Additionally, they provided wardrobe boxes to handle all of her clothes and saved me that awful job of transporting clothes on hangers. Anyone who has moved will tell you that moving is a very stressful experience ! While I hate nearly everything about moving (getting the packing boxes, actually packing everything, etc.), the worse part is trying to convince your friends to give up part of their day (usually a weekend) to help you move and then buying them dinner (granted, I try to make it a nice dinner) .. but in any case, at one point, my husband and I decided to not burden our friends and relatives with that task and hire a moving company. This was our second move with a moving company (and hopefully our last for a while to come) and I cannot rave about them enough. For one thing, I spoke with someone immediately and they were courteous and spoke with me at some length. I found that their prices were extremely reasonable and we set up a time and date for our move. One thing that greatly annoyed me about our first moving company experience is that they were very late arriving at our house. Not so with this company. They arrived on time, were very friendly, and got to work (it's actually very impressive how quickly and efficiently they can move things). Even though it's just my husband and I, we have a lot of stuff and I was really amazed at how quickly they moved our items. We had a lot of boxes that we didn't even bother to fully package (meaning that we'd fold it so that it would be shut, but we didn't tape anything) and they helped us do that and also carefully put padding around our larger pieces of furniture so that they wouldn't get damaged. I was very impressed with that. We also had a piano that I was worried about moving because it is kind of old and it's actually my mother's so I wanted to make sure that it was well taken care of. They were very careful with it and I had no issues on that front. As quickly as they moved, they were very careful with our belongings (I came to find afterwards that none of our kitchen items broke) and were very methodical in putting everything in their truck. When they were finished loading, we drove to our new place and they put our boxes and items in the rooms that we requested. Did I mention that I'm 8 months pregnant ? Talk about a stressful time to move, right ! I am so thankful that we were able to find this company because they were professional and took out a lot of the stress I was feeling about this move. They really did a great job and I have already recommended them to my friends who will be moving. Very profesional service, but you have to pay for it. At $95/hour for 2 guys it took about 9 hours to move my 2 bedroom apartment with barely any travel time. Including tips, it ended up costing me about $900, which I think is a bit steep for what I considered wasn't a huge move. I had packed all the small stuff myself, movers mostly had to deal with only the big furniture and my pre-packed boxes. You can get a 5% discount if you pay cash. That said, all the furniture was well protected, nothing was damaged during the move save for one piece. The one piece that suffered a break was repaired and returned in great condition on the same day. Large paintings, flat panel TVs, wood furniture, all arrived unscathed (save for the one piece that was repaired as-new). I underestimated the effort and should have probably asked for at least 3 movers. The company should have sent a 3rd guy (hourly rate goes up of course) to speed up the process once they saw the effort that would be required. read more
