Definitely cliquey and not very friendly, the Pastor smiled at me once the greeters at the front as well... but NO BODY from their staff got my number or asked if I wanted to fellowship with them or any type of discipleship... if I was a nonbeliever looking for Jesus I wouldn't feel Him unless I went through there programs and initiatives like home groups... basically you have to force yourself in cause nobody is going to reach out to you there... They should change the name to "only our people church..." read more

Love this church! I started going here in mid 2020 after moving back to San Diego. The first thing that struck me was that the pastor really loved Jesus and was committed to faithfully teaching the bible. The second thing that struck me was that the people really loved Jesus too and were committed to following Him. All Peoples feels like family now. read more

I looked for a church that is biblically based, community-oriented, has a family-like feeling with passionate worship and is mission-minded with a thirst for God's presence and found it! Upon walking up to All People's I saw Africans in their indigenous attire, Latino and Asians and such a mixture of cultures. That was really attractive to me as I know heaven will be diverse! I've attended for just under a year and have seen such beautiful fruit. The pastors are warm, approachable and knowledgeable. They are easy to access and even remembered my name upon the second visit! I love their vision for God's heart, truth and goodness to be experienced by all. Their peppy slogan is contagious "Get Rocked (by God), Get Real (with God and each other), and Give it Away!" I attended their annual World Mandate, which was hard to walk away from without experiencing God's goodness, and be challenged! A little later I went on the short church missions trip to Mexico, and was so impressed with their loving and inclusive mentality (coming from the head pastors which set the mood). If you need a place to heal, be transparent or just want to be where God's people are growing and loving one another, this church is where you'll want to be! Whether it be joining Sunday services, once a month encounter worship nights, to their weekly volunteer-lead (40+!) life groups throughout San Diego, this place is a must visit! read more

We have been a part of this church for 4.5 years and have grown in leaps and bounds since then. It was easy for us to get connected right away, and we felt incredibly welcomed by every person we met. We love the vision of the church- to "get rocked (thriving personal relationship with God), get real (authentic relationships with other Jesus followers), and give it away (share God's love and life with others who don't know Him)". The church's purpose is to transform lives to bless San Diego and plant churches to transform nations. Lifegroups (by life stage in various locations throughout San Diego) gather during the week. Corporate worship times are powerful times where individuals can experience the love and presence of God. The teachings are biblically sound. The pastors and staff are trustworthy, humble, and approachable. Every person from youngest to oldest in the church are empowered and equipped to live out his/her faith every day. One of our favorite times of the year is the church-wide mission trip to Mexico during which even families with infants join in to experience God's love and share His love with others. There is also a full on professional caliber musical that is put on during Christmas time as a way to creatively share the good news of Jesus. We absolutely love All People's Church. My husband and I have been searching for community and found it at All Peoples Church this January. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. We love our Life Group and the friends that we have made. If you can find it within yourself to be vulnerable you will create some amazing friendships. There is no certain type of person that attends this church. There are all types, sizes, shapes, colors, tattoos welcome and without question. After all, Jesus never discriminated. Before attending All People's church I wasn't a believer. I thought that going to church was just about RELIGION and hypocrites (to be honest). Here, at All Peoples, we are taught that coming to church is about strengthening your RELATIONSHIP with God and finding a community where you feel safe and uplifted (life group- there is one for everyone). Reading the gospel (bible) isn't about showing off how "hyper spiritual" you are but rather providing you the foundation to become closer to God and living in true happiness. Robert, the pastor is incredibly funny and well spoken. He has traveled the world and it shows in his open-minded perspectives of loving All People! The church hosts a variety of retreats including Flourish Women's retreat and Freedom weekend. I have attended them both and have enjoyed all of the valuable testimonies and personal/ spiritual growth that has come as a result from each retreat. The pastoral team really pours their heart into sharing God's love with everyone and it is received with enthusiasm! P.S. Visited this church today with my wife and our experience was very uncomfortable. We were recommended to this church because we are looking for a church that cares about the inner city and genuinely wants to reach the marginalized. First off, the church is very cliquey to say the least. We are new so we don't know anyone here. Our conversations never left the "hello" and "good to see you." Seems like everyone who goes here have known each other for years. This church also speaks of diversity and missions however the community as a whole are majority Caucasian. The staff are all Caucasian as well. For an interracial couple like us, it was offending to hear this church claiming they are "for all peoples" and care for all races and cultures when in truth they are just saying it for relevancy. The church does love Jesus and deeply cares for each other. It is bible based and believe in the Holy Spirit. However, you really have to be a specific person/family to fit in. This church is for you if you are Caucasian. PS. This is the first church we've visited where they are fenced in from the outside world with a security guard with a gun guarding the entrance. Why move to the inner city in hopes to reach it when you end up closing yourselves in? read more

To sum it up, they care a lot about numbers, cool stories, and how many nations are represented in their church. They don't care much about taking care of/protecting their people/supporting their people. Many sound, good people have left this church in the last year and continue to leave because most of the pastors are not pastoral people. It is quite exclusive-- many cliques. No "official" men's or women's, or moms groups (many join MOPS at other churches or find groups at other churches), and lifegroups all meet when young children are already in bed. Oh, there are some men groups that meet with pastors etc but you have to know the right people. I was drawn to APC because they teach the Bible and they were simple. They have grown tremendously since 2012 and it just doesn't look good on them. read more

We have absolutely been transformed by this church and the people within it. God brought us to APC almost 3 years ago via a chance encounter with the youth pastor and his family at a local restaurant. At the time, we were a bit unsettled in our church selection, as we were looking for the right fit after leaving our church up in North County due to the long commute. There's a few things I want to highlight: 1) Great Kids' ministry and solid teaching for every age group. I love that my kids run around saying "Get ROCKED, Get REAL, Give it AWAY!!!" 2) The worship is incredible. Furthermore, I love that Stephen doesn't make worship a show about himself (which in my opinion is super common). While he is incredibly talented musically, he also trains others with a gift for music and involves them in leading as well! 3) The teaching is theologically sound, thought provoking and inspires a heart response every single time. Robert knows how to preach the word in a way that you remember throughout your week and are called to action. 4) Diversity!! Red, Brown, Yellow, Black and White...we've got it all and it is sweet. It's a congregation so rich in stories of God's provision, protection, grace and power. 5) The Holy Spirit is moving here! That should've been #1. =) 6) Moms on Mission....basically amazing. It's a great way to connect with other moms and get practical and tangible tools for raising your kids with a Spirit filled mindset. I could go on, but I think you probably get my point =) read more

My daughter was home from college and she talked me into attending Sunday service. She attends a church in arizona affiliated with this one. She had even had a visit from this pastor so we thought it would be a good place to go while she was here. Friendly people and loved seeing people of all faiths. Loved the diversity as well. Problem for us was she tried several times to be notified of the college groups while she was here, called life group. Everyone seemed confused about the information and although she gave them her named several times no one ever contacted her. We visited twice and never returned. Bummer because she loves her church in Arizona. read more

This church is wonderful. The pastors (and some of the ministry staff) are from Texas. God had put it on their heart to plant a church here in San Diego, so about 15-20 members of their church in Texas came out to live the unknown life in San Diego. God has provided continuously -- most of all with people who have a desire to get to know who Jesus is and what He is about. The members are very diverse and down to earth -- I believe the size of the congregation is around 200 or so. My experience with All People's church is from attending their life groups (which is the equivalent to a small group, just with a different name -- all of these are usually rather synonymous with the term 'Bible Study'). So while I have not had a Sunday service experience, I have had a one on one experience with about 20 or so of the various members and gotten to know some of them on a more personal level than church would usually provide. If you are looking to join a new church, I urge you to not pass this one by. read more

All Peoples Church is a diverse community of people who may not be perfect, but love a perfect God. What initially attracted me to this church was the fervency of love people have for Jesus and for others (people are SO passionate here it is contagious!). I have to admit, I somehow missed the senior pastor's name the first few weeks I went here, and found that oddly refreshing...because it showed that his personality wasn't the focus (although his teachings are biblical, gospel-centered, and very engaging, he isn't seen as a "celebrity" but as one of us)! A church for everyone. Warm, welcoming, diverse, well rounded. A healthy community of people who truly want to know you. There's free coffee on Sundays, engaging messages, and humble but well done worship. The kids ministry is solid - with devoted workers and children separated by age groups in open rooms. They play, practice hearing God's voice, and loving one another. The older age group always has my son walking away with something new he's learned. I feel like no matter your age, stage of life, church background (or none whatsoever), faith journey, or career they have created space for you to thrive. They are also very devoted to the Bible and being a healthy community (even the leadership) which was very important to me when I came.
