We had to be away for a full week and had to scramble to find boarding for our 18lb Russian Blue Kitty. We wanted something more than just chain-store pet hoteling and luckily, a friend (with very pampered doggies) recommended Kennel Nirvana for our cat, since they have a separate residence for the kitties. We made the appointment to view the space in the days prior, and were so pleased with the cleanliness and warmth of the kitty space. Our boy is a tree climber and the Kennel Nirvana cubbies did not disappoint. He had three levels to play around in, and ended up spending most in the top near the ceiling! He certainly didn't lose any weight while there either, though he got lots of exercise, so mealtimes are well managed, too. Natalie and Glenn were gracious about our calling in to check on our boy every couple days and we are so grateful for the exceptional care they took with him. Natalie and Glenn are wonderful caretakers and Kennel Nirvana is a treasure find! It's a beautiful place with lovely folks (the owners AND the daytime assistants) who obviously care deeply about the furry family members left in their care. As others have mentioned, she takes detailed notes about each pet so she and her team can insure the best care. When we started with Four Footed Fitness, we had 3 senior cats and scheduled two 30 minute visits each day. We've stayed with this schedule, even though we now have younger cats. The team is great! They open shades when they come in the morning and take care of feeding, freshening water, and play time. In the evening, they clean the litter box, take care of feeding, and play with the cats. They also bring in the mail, close the shades, take out trash, and check the fountain outside - adding water, if needed. We get photos and a message from both the morning and evening visits each day. The team also checks in to make sure we arrived home at the scheduled time. It's nice to know that they have our cats covered if we're delayed for any reason! We highly recommend Glenda and her team.

One time when our dog was boarded there was a bad monsoon that knocked power out for a couple days and the road to the boarder was closed. But the staff was parking and walking a couple miles each way to take care of the animals. I think that shows their dedication and love for the animals. Sometimes it's tough to get through on phone but they are super busy with the dogs and at least you know your dog is in good hands. Wish they had cameras though.

Pretty self explanatory. When we picked them up Sunday afternoon, I noticed there was a meals worth of food in one of the bags. I asked why is there food left over? There was much confusion and conversation about it between 2 of the staff, one of which I assume is the owner or manager. Long story short, one of my dogs didn't get fed as instructed. The excuse was that they are training someone. Seriously? Pretty crappy training. What did they think the second serving of food was for???? Yes, they apologized. Did they offer any discount? No. Can we trust them again with our animals? Nope. So in one weekend they lost a 15 year client and a new customer. Have to say also that they suck with trying to talk to anybody on the phone to make reservations. Too bad.

Not wanting to give up, I drove her to Phoenix where an internal medicine specialist figured out it was the rimadyl that Penelope was taking for arthritis that was causing her elevated liver enzymes and enlarged liver. He immediately took her off of this. Penelope is 10 and a mastiff mix. She's still active but very stiff and has difficulty moving some days. Since she couldn't take her pain medicine anymore, I asked Nancy if she could meet with her and give her a massage. She got Penelope moving around so much better. For days after her massages she was moving like her old self. Nancy showed me the pressure points on Penelope so that I could help her in between massage sessions, which has definitely helped her. Nancy is so polite and kind. Penelope warmed up to her immediately. She provides an invaluable service to animals. I'm forever grateful.

He walks in and out of the house, and actually "loped" after our other dog this morning. I am able to take him for SHORT daily walks now, which is a miracle!
