The only amount that was not paid to him was the money for not painting the inside of the storage unit which he said he would come to do and never showed up. My son cut his elbow on staples that were sticking up on the stairway and there were loose staples through out the carpet upstairs as well that kept sticking us in our feet! I had a carpet expert to come in to verify both the carpet in the playroom and the stairway carpet is very loose and not installed properly. I paid 3,000.00 for this job to be done plus the cost of the carpet!

The technician came out on Friday and instead of focusing on the problem, he criticized the builders, saying things like, "These builders just throw these houses together and they don't put the doors on correctly" and "You see where this light is coming in, they didn't do that right." He mentioned something about the tensions, ordering parts, and said he would return on Monday or Tuesday to fix it. Imagine my shock when we received an estimate from them through AHS of $8,723, claiming the door looked like it had been hit by a car, wasn't installed correctly, and needed to be replaced. I was flabbergasted. I called the company and spoke to someone who said they didn't understand how it could be that much and promised a technician would call me back. Of course, no one did. I tried calling several times yesterday and this morning, but no one answered. I called AHS and requested a second opinion, but they needed to find a new service provider, which would take another 48 hours. We found a local company yesterday that came out this morning. They tightened the spring, added a new coil, and completed the job in 20 minutes for $199. The only explanation for this discrepancy in price is that Bye Door Installs was trying to scam AHS and us as consumers. I'm sure they thought we would fall for anything because my car was trapped in the garage. I urge you not to use this company.
