Dan contacted me right away in response to my Yelp inquiry to tearing down my rotted deck and installing a concrete patio. He actually gave me a rough estimate without coming out to my house, which I appreciated. There is so much I want to say about this company but don't have enough space to provide all the detail. So I will give an abbreviated version of events. I am so unhappy with the two projects Dan and his crew did at my house. I spent over $13k on a very large backyard patio a couple of years ago. My backyard was not level. It had a slight slope from the back of my yard down towards the back of my house. The crew was supposed to level out the ground before installing the patio. After the patio was poured, it became apparent that the crew did not fully level the yard before pouring the patio, making it basically unusable as it slopes downward and therefore anything placed on top (furniture, BBQ pit, etc) is tilted. The patio covers 80% of my yard, so this is a huge problem. Also, there are long cracks all over the surface, which appeared within days of the patio fully curing, and they didn't seal the concrete so it has water and algae stains and discoloration all over it. I complained to the owner, Dan, about these issues and it took him months to get back to me and over a year to come out to see the issues in person. Rather than dig up the patio and reinstall it properly, we agreed to have his crew install stairs and a pathway in my front yard. I completely regret this decision, as the stairs also have cracks and stains in several spaces, and really, I still can't use the enormous patio in my backyard, so I shouldn't have agreed to this. I just don't understand why anyone would install a patio that isn't level. It's infuriating! Unfortunately the work was not guaranteed (my oversight in not ensuring there was a warranty), so there isn't much I can do outside of suing this company. I don't have the money or time to pursue this. I'm just so disappointed and frustrated, and honestly mad at myself for choosing this contractor. Such a costly mistake. PS - I chose this company because of all the great reviews from other people. I don't know why the work done at my home was done so poorly. Very straightforward projects so I am at a complete lost. My wife and I decided to work with Dan for our project and are very glad we did! We needed the sides of our home, driveway, walkway and patio demolished and concreted. At first Dan very active communicating, they are nice and hard workers and I understand that they are busy but I think that is not an excuse to rush our project and sacrifice the quality. They are block steps which are concrete blocks with treads on top. Some of the steps had some loose treads and were also not securely in the ground. Here are the things that I like about this team: 1. Professionalism- They just do their job!
