When I asked about using the free moving truck they offer, again Tanya was incredible in assisting me in a very timely manner to meet my not only last minute request, but she was also helpful in maximizing the time I had to get my stuff and still get the truck back in time. Simply put, if everyone that I dealt with in life was as amazing as Tanya, I would be very pleased. 5 star customer service, and a genuine smile and personality makes all the difference.

My unit was located on the third floor, and I was informed that there are no cameras on the third and fourth floors( Go figure!), only on the first and second floors and at entry points. This was not something I was aware of when choosing this facility. I was also told that they are not required to disclose this. I purchased a disc lock from the facility based on the expectation that it would provide adequate security. After the incident, we researched the lock and very easily found information that the locks were easily pickable , which raised concerns for us. We also had concerns about aspects of the unit area (specifically the upper gate structure). From our observation, there were some protective barriers ar the top but there appeared to be openings/gaps. These openings raised concerns about whether the area could potentially be accessed from above. During the conversation, the representative emphasized that this is a secure and well-managed facility. However, this did not fully align with my experience. There were MULTIPLE instances where I had difficulty accessing my unit, even one instance where I was locked in the facility and unable to exit and had to call for assistance. There were also times I could not access my unit at all. Each time these issues occurred, I contacted the facility to report them. Based on those interactions, my understanding is that the facility had been made aware of these access concerns, and they were not fully resolved. I shared these concerns again during our conversation. I was told that if they had been aware of these issues earlier, they would have addressed them, and that my feedback would be passed along to leadership. I was also told that my suggestion regarding adding cameras to additional floors would be shared. Ultimately, I was told there was no evidence available regarding what occurred and that the facility is not liable for the loss. As a result, I am left dealing with over $15,000 in missing items with no resolution. I'm sharing my experience so others can make fully informed decisions and carefully evaluate the level of security and accessibility that meets their needs before storing valuable belongings here.

I've had horrible storage facility experiences in the past but was impressed by my experience with this facility. The main item being, I didn't even need to interact with anyone to get this handled. We already had enough going on, so this convenience was VERY appreciated. After a quick yelp search, Buckeye State Storage popped up. I noticed they were literally minutes from Cleveland State which was super convenient for my cousin. I immediately went onto their website and reserved their move-in special, a 10x10 for $99. I instantly received a gate code, room #, and my cousin already had her own lock from the past that she held onto. She dropped her stuff off 20 minutes later. That was easy!

June 2020 is the same time when the Coronavirus outbreak was rampant across the USA and the world. I can't remember if any U-Haul employees were even wearing masks I got a rental pickup truck (see photos). I didn't need any extra equipment such as a rope but if you do, they have supplies available for purchase inside the office. TIP -- Renting during a weekend is cheaper because it costs less per mile than if you rent during the week. "It" meaning gas I believe. Before I arrived, I had previously booked the type of car that I wanted to pick up online. Then, when I showed up on Saturday morning, a front desk clerk helped me check-out the rental car. SERVICE -- Service was smooth from the moment I arrived to the moment I returned. When I arrived, one of the employees explained to me the basics of the car and also refueling the vehicle before I returned. I also could pay to not refuel the car but I choose to out petrol/fuel back in the vehicle myself after I was done driving. I waited just a little bit for the car guy to bring out the rental car to me but it was less than 5 minutes. Once I was done using the rental pickup truck, I returned it with the car keys. If you can't return the car during office hours then you can still bring the car back - just park it and there is a drop off box for you to place the keys in. TIGHT PARKING LOT -- One thing I will note about this location is that it is in a very tight location. The parking lot is where all the U-Hauls are parked so there is really no where for you to park your car as you go into the office. I was lucky to find a spot to park my car while I was in the office for a few minutes. Overall, this is a solid U-Haul (3.5/5 rating) but I probably will visit another location the next time I need to rent a car. Preferable, I'll visit a location that is bigger because the parking lot here at the Clark Ave. location is non-existent. When we initially said, "this looks smaller than what we ordered", she tried to gaslight us saying, "no, it's 7x10". However, it was only when we showed her that the measurements on the unit's label that said 7x7.5, she started saying that it was our fault for not checking the unit in-person before reserving. And somehow it was our fault for not knowing their website was broken. Our primary account holder (the person who made the reservation), attempted to negotiate with the manager, citing his online reservation. Only to be led to a 10x10 unit with an additional charge. This bait and switch was not appreciated along with the condescending and patronizing tone of the worker. The three other people who were helping with the move-in were yelled out of the front area because they were not the primary account holder and "I don't want to deal with them" (we were standing quietly). While this was happening, another customer was in the same room. He was not asked to leave at any point. Overall, there was a lot of shady behavior and red flags. Our unit was silently downgraded with no notice to us or pay decrease, we were gaslit into thinking the unit was the size we wanted, our primary account holder was arbitrarily isolated when discussing options for getting the size we needed, customers were strongly pushed into writing good reviews, and the experience was overall much worse than when I used iStorage the previous year. We would not suggest trusting this location with your business or storage items.

Mike, and his colleague Scott, showed up in a nice large truck and loaded up quickly within an hour. They were efficient and took great care to make sure that none of our items were damaged. The move was from Rocky River to Vermilion and within 3 1/2 hours, everything was deposited in the new location with care and attention. I was really pleased with all of the communication I had with Mike in person and electronic. They were repeatedly willing to move things around in the new location to suit our needs and that was really nice to see. It was a full service move and I cannot recommend accurate moves by Mike enough!
