Tom gave me an estimate and I agreed and signed the agreement. When it came time to paint , Tom called to say it would be an extra $1500 if I wanted them to sand. I told Tom sanding was part of prep and since my home hasn't been painted since 2004 it needed sanding. Painting started on 9/28/22 and ended on 9/29/22. My son and I inspected the work performed by Schwerings Painting. We were so disappointed and angry. They didn't do a very good job. The top ledges of the columns were not sanded, primed, or painted, the bottom of both columns was not sanded, just painted, you can see the roughness and in some places, the columns were not painted. The beam that goes across the front of the porch and the inside ledge wasn't sanded, primed, or painted. The cedar shingles on the front of the house, the ones that I could see from the attic window were not sanded before painting. The front door has bubbles due to it not being sanded before painting. They put holes in my shingles from their ladders, They didn't clean up afterward. Tom did not do any of the prep or painting, His son David and 2-3 painters came on the first day. On the 2nd day, only the workers came. I notified Tom on 9/30/22 regarding the issues. Between 9/30/22 and 11/9/22 to fix the issues. Tom's communication was horrible. His son David came on 11/9/22 to fix the problems and after he left I inspected his work. He didn't even address the top ledge by the roof, it still isn't sanded or painted. He didn't sand anything, he painted over what the painters painted. Then Tom gave me a hard time about the correct temperature for painting the exterior. I would not recommend this company!
