I've been living in Sydney for a few years without tasting accurate imitation American southern food until coming down to Tasmania. The flavours were on point, though parts of the execution left things to be desired. The gumbo had the right flavours and perfect amount of kick. The ribs fell off the bone. Fried chicken seemed like it had been sitting around for a bit so lost the crispy on the outside, though made up for it with decadent juicy on the inside texture. Sidewinder fries need to be on every menu. Decor leaves a little to be desired; loved the art but had a too heavy of a dive bar feel. All in all I will be back any time I'm in Launceston and look forward to what next seasons menu holds.
