Excellent hotel, location and staff…read more
I had to call their reception staff prior to our flight to Milan to advise them we were running late due to airport delays. The person on the phone in perfect and very polite English assured me they won't issue a no-show and will be waiting for us. This was relieving as no one was certain when the plane was about to take off (yes, t'was a low-cost carrier, but that's another story).
We arrived at close to midnight time, but still welcomed with a smile. The reception was anything, but big, however, the 2 personnel were efficient and the checking-in did not take much time.
The lobby looked fantastic for a 4-star hotel - very clean and spacious. There were complimentary fruits, candy, cookies for guests to enjoy while waiting.
We got a room on the 2nd floor. It was relatively small, but we were aware of that prior to arrival (it was a bargain price, so no reason to complain). It had everything needed - clean bathroom, comfortable bed, TV/WiFi, enough room for two suitcases. No view from the window, but that was OK, too. Overall, I'd give the room itself 3.5 Yelp stars.
Breakfast the next morning was very rich. Great selection of cheese, bread, salami and Italian specialties, coffee, fruits, yogurt.
The hotel's located very close to Milano Centrale train station, and also about 5-10 mins walking distance of the famous Corso Buenos Aires with numerous shops, outlets and gelaterias. Metro stations of two of the lines M1 and M3 are easily reachable (they both go to Duomo cathedral).
Stayed there in the end of May, but doubt much has changed since then.
Overall, I enjoyed the short stay in this hotel and if I get the chance, would book again.
