Took my son for a haircut. Explained no less than 3 times that he did not want his fringe cut. Barber clipped his ear with the trimmer. I said that I thought he'd cut his fringe because he'd scream if his fringe was cut. A few mins later the whole shop is filled with crying and wailing and yes, despite being told no less than 4 times not to cut the fringe, the barber hacked his fringe. Lopped quite a bit off leaving my son looking like he'd been given a bowl cut at home.
"Don't cut his fringe" is such an easy instruction that if your staff can't understand that, I honestly query why they are even employed.
