Nestled between a couple of multistory buildings, you'd probably miss this place unless, like me, you had the good fortune of traveling with a local that knew how to find such hidden gems. There are other places throughout Gågade to get a hot dog, but this place often has the best prices, the least crowds and the best food. The ambiance that you get from being nestled in a out of the way breezeway with shelter from the weather is an added bonus. I'm not sure they even call it Gittes anymore, as I know they've changed ownership, but it's the same operation it always was, and I still look forward to it on every single trip to Gågade that I make. Service has always been quick, food quality has never been an issue and they're just about always open.
