I found Steven base on the good reviews on yelp. He was responsible on the phone call and text message. I called him and he stop by to my house two days later to give me an estimate. We agreed the price and he started in couple days. He and his crew were hard working and nice. They finished the job in 4 days. Everything looked good. However, few days later I found more than 4 CRACKS on my brand new approx. 570 sq.ft. concrete. I called Steven and he told me concrete has racks anyways. It sounds like nobody can avoid it even he is a experienced concrete contractor. I am very disappointed. read more

December 21th 2020 Allenco Concrete Company care. That's the bottom line and that's the biggest difference in working with them to redo my driveway, garage painted , side walk way. Steve's quote was affordable and responsive. Steve and their crew were attentive throughout the process and always did what was my best interest, and not what was most profitable for them. Called Steve for a quote. When he answered the phone, he just said "Hello." I had to ask if it was the concrete place or not, so he's not seeming very professional right off the bat. He told me he was two months out, then he said he was at lunch and he would call me back if I gave him my info. Still not very professional. I gave him my information and two days later, he still hasn't called back. I'd say he's definitely not hurting for work, and not giving a great first impression on the phone. My advice is to move on to the next place in the list. With that said, I'm not angry or anything. Maybe I called at exactly the wrong time or something, it happens. We had about 600 sq ft of concrete patio we needed taken out from our backyard. Steve came and gave us an estimate on the spot and had his crew out three days later to do the work. They worked all day in the rain without stopping. I've never seen a crew work demo when it was raining before (but have had plenty of people cancel because of weather), so I was impressed. Steve also worked with me to do a bit of additional work that we thought of last minute. Very professional and took care of everything we needed. We recently had our front and backyard poured with new colored / stamped concrete as well as several steps and footpath by Allenco. We received quotes from several contractors and Steve was by far the most responsive and affordable. Steve will quickly get the job done and be straight forward with you. Allenco Concrete Rocks! Allenco Concrete was the lowest of five bidders for my project. I don't always take the lowest bidder but was sold on the fact that Steve was one of only two bidders who actually said they would be onsite while the work was being done. Steve was onsite almost the entire time, working right alongside the rest of his crew. There is a high degree of accountability when the person that bids the project is overseeing the entire job and performing much of the work. The project was a very complicated foundation project for a backyard remodel that included the foundation for a new outdoor kitchen, four new door landings, extensive curved border curbs for areas that will eventually be surfaced with pavers, an outdoor fire pit, two sets of stairs, extensive drainage piping, trenching for gas and electric lines, the installation of steel columns and beams for a trellis, the installation of 1 to 2 ton landscape boulders, and the excavation, off-haul, and disposal of a large quantity of excess soil. I really liked the fact that Steve was very easy to work with on a project that had a lot of components and owner involvement (I provided the boulders and trellis steel and was responsible for the installation of the gas and electrical lines). I'm somewhat meticulous and had prepared a very detailed set of plans for the project. While this might scare away a number of bidders, Steve seemed to appreciate the detail and did a great job of following the plans and running things by me as he went. While very little of the concrete work will be exposed once the project is completed (most will be covered with natural stone), Steve and his crew exhibited extreme care in precisely installing the formwork. Although the majority of the work was performed as a lump sum bid, I had portions performed on a time & materials basis since it was difficult to quantify some of the work; specifically, the excavation and off-haul of excess soil and the installation of landscape boulders (which were huge). I was really impressed with how hard Steve and his crew worked when performing the T&M scope and the fact that they were able to accurately place the landscape boulders in tight spaces with very limited access for their equipment (I otherwise would have needed to rent a 100 ton crane for this purpose as the reach was considerable). I called Allenco to solicit bids for two projects that I have. Like the previous review stated, the person on the phone was rushed and didn't seem interested in what I had to say. I told Allenco that I wanted to start the cheaper one of the two projects first because the two project can not occur at the same time period. Right after the person heard the word "cheap" he said he was not interested. I tried to explain to Allenco that I wasn't looking for the cheapest bid but he was not interested in listening. The person kept cutting me off saying this is not the project for him and to find someone else and eventually hung up. I never had such negative experience dealing with contractor as I have dealt with 100s of contractors before. I am glad I didn't go with this company since they don't seems to be interested in the clients' inputs and obviously only care about money. I am more than happy to take my projects, each worth upward of $100,000, somewhere else. read more

Am I not allowed to get other bids?? Are you serious??? I said I was fine with your 5k min. I said everything we need to do I wouldn't be surprised if it was around that! But without looking at the property as you agreed to you blew me off! Yes I did say I would give a bad review because the experience was that bad! I have never had someone book an appt then cancel and then blame me. Maybe your work is good but the costumer service sucks. I can't imagine a whole side of a house for a dog run and a whole side yard remodel is not worth your time. But it's not your issue now so move on. You got a bad review. Beware people cause they will attack you when all you want is a bid! If I could give ZERO I would. I am so frustrated with this company!! I called and left messaged 3 times. And when I finally get a call back, the guy is wishy washy about coming out to give a bid because they have a 5K minimum. Well we just bought a new home and wanted to put a dog run in the back of the house, and completely renovate the side yard, which is the size of a driveway! We wanted to repave it, stamp it and do some nice stuff. The guy makes an appt to meet me after work. I book childcare to be able to make this appointment. And three hours before it, he texts me he's canceling because the Owner thinks it is a waste of time to bid it. They are assuming its under there 5K minimum! I call the guy angry, and I tell him you have no idea if its less than 5K. He tells me to do the measurements myself and email them and they will give a ballpark. So I have to do your job for you. FYI its not the kind of job that I can just give measurements. We just bought this home and have more projects your could have profited from. But your Greed got in the way. I needed the concrete around my pool to be replaced. I called two pool company's and I wasn't really satisfied with what they told me. A pool company would just contract out this job anyway so I decided to call a concrete company. I came across Allenco concrete. I talked to the owner Steve. He explained all the work that needed to be done and dropped off a written itemized proposal for the final cost. We agreed on the price and I was more than happy with the work. I recently called Allenco to give me a bid on three separate under deck pads for drainage control. The total area was quite large (over 600 sq ft) and located on difficult sloping terrain with several hard to reach areas (under decks). Steve Lindborg scheduled an appointment to come out and give me an estimate. He showed up during the allotted time window, gave me some excellent suggestions for drainage solutions to the particular area, and then responded by email within a few days of the visit with a very reasonable estimate. When I accepted the offer, Steve's preparation crew showed up the morning of the day he said they would start and worked diligently for the next three days to get everything ready. On the day of the pour, Steve's finishing crew showed up on schedule (with a pumping truck) and worked hard to finish the job over the next seven hours. During the operation, I pointed out several areas that I was somewhat worried about and Steve received my input without question and made sure that the changes were done to my satisfaction. They did excellent work and finished the difficult pour with a highly professional look. This included a thorough clean up of the job site. Several weeks later, I called Steve to ask if he could come out bid on another smaller drainage site (about two yards total). Once again Steve's bid was very reasonable, and the work was started and completed on schedule and to my satisfaction. I have nothing but the highest regard for Steve's work. I am so amazed by Steve and his staff's professionalism. They did a completely awesome work on my backyard patio and front yard. We have a huge backyard where we wanted to have a 1500sqft patio with retaining walls, and we wanted a walkway for our front yard plus an extension of our driveway. The whole job was almost 3000sqft. We have interviewed many concrete contractors, and Steve gave me the best price and the most honest deal. It was a "gut feeling" I had for Steve that he was going to do a great job, and it turned out that I was right.
