I cannot comment on the quality of the item I won because after 1 month I still haven't seen it. Firstly I received no invoice to pay. I have sent endless emails that get no response. Finally get a response paid within minutes. Then ....nothing. Finally got a response on the phone and "oh, we'll try to get that out this week". Well only if that's not too much trouble Allen's Auction. What horrible customer service. Just the worst I have seen and I buy online auctions all over the world...literally. I won an auction in May of this year. I contacted the business to confirm my charge card number and to request shipping. I was told that would not be a problem, however I am still waiting for the parcel to arrive. I have called and emailed numerous times but still have no information as to whether the lot was ever shipped. I have asked for a tracking number but that has not been provided. It is frustrating that the company will not aknowledge my attempts to communicate - no return phone calls, no return emails, My advice is buyer beware. read more

Buyer beware!! We have been bidding on items from Allen's Auction Centre Ltd. for years and ever since change in ownership there is nothing but garbage items in this auction now. 2 weeks in a row we bid on electronics that did not work. The last of the 2 items we requested $60 refund for the item. We took a lost on the other item (the owner was only going to give parcel refund anyways which we have no idea what that would be) It's unfortunate because we use to enjoy bidding on items in this auction house. When Allen was running it, there were a lot of great items and we truely did trust bidding on anything. (We definitely miss you!) Anyone from out of town that cannot inspect items prior to closing of the auction is buying garbage at your own risk and "Bill" is accepting items meant for the junkyard. Request a refund and you will be blacklisted. Thankfully there are other trusted auction locations (many actually) that you are safe to bid on and recieve in good working order. I just wanted to give our many friends and family fair warning if you are considering bidding from this auction house to reconsider any items you can't see in advance or you will be in for a suprise on what you may receive. The new owner isn't exactly someone with great customer service excellence to assist you to resolve issues either. Yes I did manage to get a $60 refund however "Bill" also frozen my account for future auctions claiming I requested to close my account. After several back and forth it is clear to see this was done on his end because I requested a refund for a item that clearly was garbage. Lesson learn! love this auction. Have been using it for the past two years and never disappointed. The rules for bidding are clear and the auctioneer allows you to test anything prior to bidding (even allows you to bring in your own equipment to test on), if you take something home you have six days for a refund which makes sense. I've always found if you arnt willing to go check it out first to not break the bank when bidding because it is an auction house at the end of the day. Something else I love about the new owners is that it's pet friendly and I can take my pup in with me to look. read more
