Waffle fries with a delicious raspberry sauce

Decided to try the salmon with rice and veggie of the day. Everything was excellent. Our server was great & very accommodating. Walked around to see the various games including a pool table and bowling. The fish tank was very peaceful to watch while eating dinner. Will be going back soon. Entrees were 1/2 off . Food, family and fun!

We were encouraged to visit this place and I hate to admit it but it was just OK. Yes it's cool, new, clean and I guess they have tried I corporatist a bit of everything for families. I would describe it as a cool kids birthday party place but not a must go if I'm the area to be honest. Food as just OK. Servers were great! Very attentive, knowledgeable and sweet. Crab dip was pretty bad sadly. The wings were OK and the fish and chips were just OK as well. I would not come here just to dine but I guess if it's raining and cold , it's an option for kids and families.

Has promise. It's the same owner and almost same identical food menu as in Ropewalk. If Ropewalk has a long line, stop on by Alley Oops. Granted it's the same atmosphere, but the video games are a hit with our little ones. Not as many games as say the boardwalk, but it's not as crazy as the boardwalk either. The food mirrors the same as Ropewalk. It's not the greatest and nothing to write home about, but it's dependable and not too terribly expensive. Service can be sporadic, ie, can't find our waiter after our food is served, and getting the bill can be a challenge. Make sure to ask the bill when you think your family is almost done eating. It did give more time for the kids to play a lot more games.

My family and I stopped by on a Tuesday while having a winter vacation in Ocean City. It just happened to be half off bowling so I think we got a pretty good deal. There were 6 of us and we showed up right as the venue opened around 4 pm. We were able to get a lane right away. I was expecting the traditional bowling alley but these were smaller pins and bowling balls. My wife ordered us the funnel cake fries which my family shared and enjoyed together between games. The place was easy to navigate for purchasing game points and exploring the other attractions inside. It was a nice way to cap off the trip before we headed back home.

Great burgers, HUGE drinks, great family atmosphere and the cherry on top was seeing a REAL hammerhead in their own on site shark tank!

The cocktails were great, and the crab and pimento dip was just okay. I ordered the shrimp and grits from the daily specials menu and didn't love it. The shrimp came with the shells still on the tail, which I had to pick off myself. Also the chorizo wasn't crumbled, but cooked in the casing and then cut up, which made it rock hard and taste very strongly of iron. It's what I would imagine a blood sausage to taste like (gross!). I didn't finish my plate, which was a bit disappointing. My family ordered a crab cake sandwich and fried fish sandwich, which they said were good though. Not a bad spot to stop if you're on the north side of Ocean City.

We were set on getting the salmon and the swordfish dishes which we did, and it did not disappoint! They were the most delicious dishes I had experienced in a long time. I asked about the seasoning on the salmon and the waitress, who was fabulous, said it was Moroccan. I loved the hint of cinnamon but according to the Moroccan spice I looked at on the web, it is a combination of numerous spices which amounts to a delicious combination of flavors. Both dishes were paired perfectly with their sides and sauces. I have never left a review about a restaurant before. This will be one of my few unforgettable meals. If dining inside, bring a sweater. They don't skimp on their air-conditioning. It was a cool night so we ate outside which was nice, but what made it nicer was our wonderful waitress, Fanika(?), who had the most awesome, helpful, outgoing personality that makes a dining experience that much better. And she was right about the coconut espresso martini. It was delicious! She also mentioned that the menus are seasonal so I am looking forward to returning to Hooked when I'm back in OC and trying other meals. I'm hooked!!

I'll give the restaurant a 4 star review for the sauces and food combinations. The fish and pork chops were an excellent choice for my guests. Unfortunately I ordered the flank steak, medium rare. I didn't send it back which would have ruined the mood of the dinner, but the pork chop took 25 minutes to prepare. The flank steak came out luke warm and was not at all tender. It would have been better medium or medium well as it was a bit rubbery. The server should have warned me when she indicated to my guest that she preferred the pork chop. She was a bit abrupt and talked too fast. The Parker house rolls were a bit dry, not warm and tough. I'm from Baltimore and Parker house rolls are should be warm, soft with a lovely aroma and melt in your mouth. The honey butter helped but not enough. We ordered the strawberry short cake for dessert. The presentation was lovely and the strawberries fresh and sweet, but the short cake was dry. I assume it was awarded the James Beard for the sauces and creative combinations, which admittedly were wonderful, but there are some simple things the chef needs to consult his grandmother on how to prepare.

Everyone was standing around just gossiping. We sat at the table inside and waited about 15 mins to get a server. I realize this is pretty normal here in OCMD, but there were a lot of people standing around and a handful of people eating. The server was a nice guy. He wasn't one of the folks standing around. We were hopeful. Drinks were watered down. They were supposed to be frozen. We ordered brisket Putíne. Absolutely flavorless. Had to add salt and pepper to make it edible. Even my teens didn't like it. I personally had the shrimp tacos. They fell apart, and were inconsistent in prep. One had 2 shrimps, the other had 4. One had sauce, the other did not. The taco was falling apart after the 3rd bite. Very unpleasant to eat. The oysters we ordered had tons of shell pieces in it. Again, down to the preparation. My husband had the lobster roll. It was actually good, but the portions of lobster were a joke. We went to the crab factory down the road a week ago and the value, bread and amount of lobster was a better value with equal taste. Overall, this seems like a tourist location and very hit or miss. Our experience was definitely miss for the price.
