Michelin Star restaurant, so you know the chef pays attention to the quality of the food and has…read morehis own unique style. The place is kind of hidden away, and my friend and I were worried we were in the wrong place. There's nothing around it really and it looks like it's located in an empty lot. However, once inside, you can feel the fancy atmosphere. Everything is pristine white. Lume really takes notice of service, as all of our waiters were very formal and took attention to details. They have a lot of complimentary small dishes, from appetizers, to bread, to pre dinner, to dessert. All of these were delicious and unique, especially a puffed rice dish with flower petals. I also loved the bread--delicious and fresh, and they had four options to choose from. My friend and I got both pasta and a meat and a dessert (didn't do the tasting menu). We were so stuffed by the end and shouldn't have gotten separate desserts. However, everything was very unique. I loved my ravioli pasta and lamb dish, which was served in three different unique ways. I wasn't a complete fan on my vanilla dessert (which was also three different dishes) because it was too alcoholy for me. I loved my friends' fresh berry dessert however. It was a very very expensive meal, but when you visit a restaurant like this you are paying for the service and unique dishes! The fact that their dishes are often presented as three separate variations attests to that.

We really enjoyed restaurant Miky in Monterosso. Firstly, it's perfectly situated with great views…read moreof the beach and ocean. Meanwhile it's right in the middle of the main strip. I was concerned that this place would be a horrible tourist trap but the waiters were friendly, the food was delicious and the place was packed due to its location. I had the seafood pot and it was more seafood than I expected. The clams were smaller but there were lots of them. There were a lot of mussels and also a meaty octupus tentacle. They were all prepared in a great tomato based sauce and came with a toast loaf of bread. It was excellent!!! My wife had the seabass and also enjoyed the meal. The waiters were friendly and not pushy. We really enjoyed the views. Definitely, this was a good dinner location in Monterosso! Enjoy!

The restaurant felt cozy on the rainy May night, but I can see in Summer it would also be a perfect spot for a long dinner with the windows open and the fresh sea breeze. They have an extensive wine list with a lot of great options available from the surrounding Cinque Terre wineries, we chose a Vermentino (to sip on once we'd finished our delicious Negroni's to start). Before the meal arrived we were served complimentary snacks, the fried fish ball was INCREDIBLE. To start we shared the local anchovies that came six ways - 3 cold followed by 3 warm - the stuffed anchovies and lemon marinated ones were the tables favorite, we also shared the scallops which were cooked to perfection. For mains, I went with the local catch of the day which was a delicious white fish, my brother had the tuna and I was extremely jealous after trying, it was full of flavor and melted in your mouth. For dessert, I highly recommend the lemon dessert with meringue, our whole table fell in love with this. The service throughout the evening was excellent and attentive and we all enjoyed our night here. I highly recommend a visit to Miky if you're in Cinque Terre

I'm happy to provide the first Yelp review for Felix Lo Basso in the Townhouse Duomo Hotel…read more My wife and I came here for dinner on a Friday night. First, know that it's a late crowd. We arrived when the restaurant opened at 7:30 pm, but most people didn't come until 9:00. The restaurant itself is spectacular, overlooking the Duomo Plaza. It's small and intimate, but has an incredible view. The food is imaginative and delicious; the service is impeccable. I'm in my mid 60's and we've eaten at great restaurants all over the world. I can honestly say this is one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. We split a starter course of grilled octopus, and then I had risotto and a lamb course. My wife had spaghetti followed by the black cod. Everything was unexpected, fun, and absolutely wonderful. The sommelier matched wines by the glass for each course, and he was spot on every time. Was it pricey! Heck yes. If the idea of spending $400-500 for dinner for two makes you feel nauseous, don't go. But if you want a once in a lifetime experience regardless of cost, this is a terrific restaurant.

We had a wonderful lunch yesterday. Great views of the Duomo.
