I have been a patient of Dr Scott's for about 3-4 years. For 40 years I have gone to the traditional chiropractor where popping, twisting and crunching is the mode of treatment. I don't often leave reviews but Dr. Scott is better than any chiropractor I've ever been to!! He spent over an hour with me on my first appt to determine the issue. I struggle with TMD and severe headaches and woke up the day after I saw with a significant decrease in pain. He does not do any aggressive yanking and popping. Before visiting Dr. Scott, I had suffered from sciatica pain since early childhood. High school sports and normal aging had only increased my back pain. Little everyday things like mopping, gardening, and bike riding would intensify the pain, making it hard to walk and fully straighten my spine for a day or two after the activity. I had visited multiple chiropractors throughout the years, and their "treatments" of aggressive popping only worsened my pain over time. I was at the point where I felt helpless in finding relief, but my husband encouraged me to try one more chiropractor. I did my research and found Dr. Scott. Within a month and a half of weekly adjustments with Dr. Scott, I was able to fully deep down clean my house, ski, bike ride, roller blade, dig holes in my yard, hike, and work out again with absolutely NO pain! Dr. Scott takes his time to pinpoint and adjust only the discs in need of adjustment. He does not aggressively pop your back/neck. Even though popping does initially feel good, the lasting effects of the techniques that Dr. Scott uses are overwhelmingly positive and create lasting relief. I couldn't recommend Dr. Scott more. I like being able to walk upright. Dr. Scott helps keep me there. Came in with a pinch in the lower back and could barely walk and stand. After my adjustment, it still hurt but I could walk upright. Dr. Scott has restored my faith in chiropractic care. Six years ago, I saw a chiropractor that injured my neck. A year ago, I began to have lower back pain after a couple of falls. I was not getting relief from treatment with my PT. My primary care physician referred me to a pain management doctor. I was scared to have injections into my lower back. A friend suggested I see Dr. Scott. After some convincing, I made the call and I am so glad I did! Dr. Scott is knowledgeable and personable. He truly cares for his patients and demonstrates this through his desire to educate his patients. My husband and I both started seeing Dr. Scott back in August of 2018. My husband suffers with pain and numbness due to a severe fall 15 yrs ago. No other Chiropractor in town or Medical Doctor has been able to provide him the relief of these symptoms without prescribing medications or radiating his body when truly not necessary. Dr. Scott is the most amazing, results-oriented chiropractor I've ever had. A minor spinal defect at birth didn't make itself known to me until eight years ago, with severe pain. I have gone to chiropractors regularly ever since in order to prevent future discomfort and to correct a subluxation. I searched for a new chiropractor as soon as possible after I moved to Fresno four months ago. I hit the jackpot when I found Dr. Scott online. Dr. Scott explains in understandable terms what he's doing during your treatment. He uses Activator Methods, which means NO twisting or popping. I had never heard of this procedure before I met Dr. Scott. The process is faster, comfortable, and above all else, it works! One issue that my former two chiropractors couldn't correct was my stiff neck and shoulders. Obviously, I've only been treated by Dr. Scott for less than four months, and I am ecstatic to write today that my neck pain is GONE and I have full range of motion back. Another effect of my spine problem is that I could no longer sleep on my right side without discomfort. As of a few weeks ago, Dr. Scott's treatment has corrected that as well. This is a long over due review for the amazing team that helped me take over my life again. I was injured in November 2013 and lived with pain up until early 2015. Every thing I did from groceries to brushing my teeth caused me pain.I tried everything the doctors gave me; medications, epidural shots and exercises but nothing seemed to work. A couple co-workers told me to try out Alliance and I was pessimistic about the outcome as I felt I had tried so many treatments and without any result. However with the help of Liza, Maria and Dr. Scott, I am so glad I came to them for help because it was what healed me. My first encounter was with Liza, she made me feel comfortable and welcomed in me into the clinic. I had a somewhat complicated case, one where every where else I have gone I was made to feel as if there was nothing else that could be done and the injury was my fault. She was very flexible, accommodating and I enjoyed our conversations. First I worked with Maria, the physical therapist, who felt I would benefit from seeing Dr. Scott, the chiropractor, first. So I worked with Dr. Scott and he isn't the kind of chiropractor that just twists and turns your back. He truly spent time making sure my back was okay. He was very patient and did not perform any aggressive treatment on my back. I would get treatment, he would see how my back reacted and then we would go from there. If I had a flare up they made it easy to just squeeze me in. I hardly ever had to wait to see him. Then I started to see Maria for strengthening exercises and she taught me every thing I need to do outside of my appointments. Daily exercises I need for strengthening and how to modify some activities to accommodate my injury. I came here so often that I felt comfortable just walking in, it doesn't feel like a cold doctor's office. Maria, Liza and Dr. Scott would always engage me and other patients in conversation to get to know us beyond our injury and that makes me feel more human than that girl with the broken back. This team truly believes in helping people for the long run, not just a quick fix in the clinic situation. I honestly can't believe how much they have changed my life and I am so extremely thankful. Last year I was in constant pain and I couldn't do any of my regular adventures such as hiking, snowboarding and traveling. After being treated by such a great team, my life has done a complete 360. I'm happier than ever as the injury made me so depressed. I lost 15 pounds due to my exercises and just being able to be more active in life. I am very self aware of my body mechanics. I had been told that I had TMJ and since Dr. Scott is a specialist in that area, I chose to make an appointment with him. If I could give 10 stars for Dr. Scott, I would! I am 24 and was hit by a drunk driver 2 years ago, leaving me with 2 herniated discs and a pinched sciatic nerve. I was in LA at the time, so I sought care at other physical therapy locations, saw an orthopedic specialist, even got injections into my spine but still had pain. I also could only sleep if I slept flat on my back with a pillow under my legs. I'll never forget the first time I came in to see him, we sat down and I told him about what happened, the treatment i'd received and how it wasn't working, plus my devastation thinking I will be in pain for life. He said him and 3 others in the Bay Area use a special technique that helps injuries like mine and assured me that his approach to healing the spine would help me get back to normal. I just burst out crying because for the first time I felt like there was hope. He was so supportive, something no other doctor had given me! Needless to say, once I started seeing Dr. Scott, my pain started to alleviate slightly and overtime, improved drastically. I sought help from Dr. Scott out of pure desperation. I had been suffering with lower back pain. I had been seeing a physical therapist, for a year, and my doctor had referred me to a pain management doctor who planned to do cortisone injections. I was literally sliding out of bed each morning, many times in tears, and having painful muscle spasms throughout my day. A friend referred me to Dr. Scott. I was very skeptical due to an injury I had received from a different chiropractor 6 years ago. As I said I was feeling desperate! Dr. Scott was kind enough to do a phone consult and reassured me that he could help. He took the time to phone doctors' offices to locate CT scans and x-rays to get a full picture of my issues/injuries. Once he received the records he took the time to explain what they showed. I AM NOW A BELIEVER! Within two weeks I was feeling 50% better, no more muscle spasms! Yay! After four weeks of care, life was normal and painless. Dr. Scott uses the Activator method, which involves checking the functional leg length, noting which leg appears to be shorter than the other and then performing various muscle tests to determine where treatment is needed. Dr. Scott is also certified to use a special table, the COX table, which is wonderful! I find Dr. Scott to be very compassionate, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. Amazing!! Dr. Scott is just great. It was my first time to a chiropractor and he took the time to explain what he does and also try and pin point why the issue started and best way to deal with it.
