I chose the chicken and dumpling soup (they rotate specialty soups weekly) and a loaded sweet potato. The soup was incredibly flavorful--slightly saltier than my personal preference, but thankfully I tasted it before adding anything. The thyme flavor really stood out and made the dish comforting and delicious. I'd absolutely recommend it if it's available when you visit. The loaded sweet potato was topped with jerk chicken, one of my favorite seasonings. You can adjust the heat, and I went with how it comes--very hot! I loved it. Spicy, bold, and full of flavor, with the sweet potato cooked to perfection. They also offer unsweetened, fresh-brewed iced tea with free refills, which is always a huge plus for me. The café itself is small, but while I was there, there was a steady flow of people coming and going--it's clearly a popular hometown spot. Everything on the menu looked fantastic, so I'll definitely be making a return trip to try something new. My friend said her hash browns were hard. The orange juice was the best thing I had. Service was okay. I wasn't really anything spectacular and it took a while for the server to come over in the first place. It's pretty inside but it was cold. It's winter time--I could use a little more heat!
