French Drain put together with Duct Tape.
    Jason H.

Allied has always been my go to company for Foundation repair. But our last encounter was absolutely horrible. I am a local Realtor in the Houston Metro area and have been recommending this company to many customers and friends, so the fact this experience was sub par is tough. My Personal Experience: Good: - There are some great people who work for Allied, Jacob (who is part of the family that owns and runs Allied) and Mr. Martinez (who has worked for allied for over 14yrs). These 2 gentleman where great to work with! - Allied is very quick on estimates and starting the work - No other company compares to Allied's great pricing - The foundation repair process is quick, usually only 2 days (depending on how fast the city inspector gets out) start to finish Bad: - They had to cut out my sprinkler system in order to dig the holes or the foundation pillers, repaired it with duct tape, it fell apart obviously. - They but apart my French Drain to install foundation pillars, put the drain back together with duct tape, it fell apart obviously. - They filled in the holes before the inspector could inspect the work, actually have no idea how this worked out. - Kill 2 of my bushes in the front yard, thought digging them up and leaving out of the ground for 2 days and "replanting" then would keep them alive....? - Did not replace the grass they dug up on the side of my yard, so instead left a sweet mud slide - Did a horrible job filling in the cracks between the bricks...I mean holy crap a horrible job. I will add pictures to this don't have pictures of the dead bushes, will add those later. Update: They did bring a sprinkler guy out to fix the sprinkler head, and they did dig up the French Drain and fixed that.

I was involved with a couple projects done by these guys. Always fair, on point and jobs well done. Usually the cost was half of other major well established foundation repair companies in the Houston area. As a Texas inspector and real estate agent, I keep Allied top of mind.

Not for one minute, did I feel Jacob was there to "make things up" to make money as some companies would.

The inspector, JT, was friendly and clear spoken and took his time going through everything. He used some kind of high-tech equipment to measure our floors and figure out how much our slab was off, then walked us through all his findings in plain English. Turns out we didn't need any major foundation work right now (which was a huge relief!), but JT still gave us some great tips on how to prevent future issues. I really appreciated how honest he was -- no pressure, no upselling, just straightforward advice. It's nice to know there are still honest foundation companies out there that care more about helping people than just making a quick buck. Foundation work is not cheap, but will save your house from further damage if needed. Big thanks to JT and Generocity Foundation!

Gave a hour and a 10 min notification of arrival. He walked the exterior and interior of the house. He pointed out possible concerns. He gave me recommendations on how to help my foundation, and what to look out for. He was very relaxed and informative. He wasn't pushy or trying to push me into getting foundation work done. It was a very positive experience.

After several visits and different employees with different answers I was told that everything is fine and it will take about six months for the soil to be saturated with water. They did not even know how to program or wire properly the controller provided and left without even testing the irrigation. After a charge of almost $5000.00 for $300.00 of parts and 3 hours labor they refused to add a second valve to increase the flow on a section of house. At this point i need to complete the installation myself . My suggestion is they need to stick to dirt work and not something that requires higher IQ upstairs.

I hired Du-West some time ago to put in two root barriers for about $2,800. When I hired them they…read moregave me a card to be sure to give them a review on social media and listed different medias. I was not hat home when they came out for installation since they would never need to be in the house (as they confirmed). When I arrived home from a full day of work, I opened the front door and could smell natural gas (it had filled the whole house). I called the gas company and Du-West - they both showed up to the house. What I found out from Du-West was that while the crew was working, they wanted to turn off the gas line and the project manage said no...so, then the project manager went off to buy lunch for the crew and it was at this time the crew turned the gas off - which then blew out the pilot light to the hot water heater in the attic. When the crew turned the gas back on, natural gas began filling my home. I was told by the gas technician that only a certified plumber or a gas company technician is allowed to turn off the gas. When it came time to light the pilot, no one wanted to do it. I told them whoever turned it off has to turn it back on!!!!! So all of the windows were opened and we waited and they the two reluctantly went into the attic to light the pilot. At first, when I told this story to the Du-West manager about this I could hear the gasp in his voice, then he proceeded to act like it was no big deal - which their opinion is it's no big deal because I'm still alive! He offered me $250 for my "inconvenience" - I told him he should pay for half...he said he would need to speak to someone about it and would get back to me...of course he never did and I was too busy at work to keep fighting this, which is exactly what they wanted. In my opinion, this is such a high level of incompetence and negligence it is unbelievable!! What happened is awful...it endangered my pet, the safety of my neighbors and myself. But what it boils down to is unless someone is hurt or dead it just does matter. Absolutely shameful!
