the hygentist was very friendly and thorough at cleaning my teeth . i suffer from dry mouth and have them cleaned every 4 months . im use to having hygienist making small talk . this woman talked about prevention and advice on how to better clean my teeth . I'm 48 years old and I never knew I needed to spend more time brushing along the gum line . about 5 months ago I bought an electric tooth brush but the sonic (not the round shape bristles). she explained because my jaw on is so small. i need a child under 5 tooth brush in addition to brush , to vertically clean behind my bottom front teeth. my previous dentist actually had a small practice and she did the cleaning herself and she always told me it's because I'm right handed and my Angle. so I've been using my left hand to brush my bottom teeth for ten years , but not vertical. she taught me so much yesterday !!! i feel so blessed to have had meet her and to have her clean my teeth , but also be concerned about long term prevention . We (myself, 17 yo son, 18 yo daughter) have had great experiences with Allison and Associates. They are very careful to contact us to remind us of our appts each time. We have rarely had to wait more than a few minutes before being brought back to the hygienists chair. I have teeth that could use an 'adjustment' on the bottom front, but only cosmetic. They offered me the treatment by asking me if I were interested in 'correction' for those teeth. I listened to the information and pricing (which I have since learned is standard with any dentist using this method). Due to the cost, I chose not to do the treatment at this time. I felt no pressure from them to do it, but also know it would be an option in the future if I chose that route. The office is clean, newly re-decorated and efficient. We've been served there 6+ times and after trying a couple of other dentists first who were not in our network, we are happy at Allison and Assoc. :-) read more

ever since moving to Pinehurst in 2005 my wife and I have been going to Allison and Associates for our dental work. We have been very pleased with the dental hygienists and the other staff that keeps the practice running smoothly. as for Doctor Craig and Doctor Shannon, they are the best. As for the temporary physician staff, the Allison's have chosen well. The attitude of everyone at this practice leaves one to feel extremely comfortable to the point that one feels almost as part of their family. The practice is always clean and neat and the staff is always extremely pleasant and willing to be helpful in any way possible. However, more than that has been the customer service and care. All the staff seem to smile at all times. They are gentile in words and in procedures (most important). i am a retired dentist from NJ and moved a couple of years ago to NC. I broke a tooth and needed a crown. the whole experience was super. Chairside assistant and Dr. Rebecca were caring and did everything right. Had the latest technology that meant no gooey bad tasting impression, no temporary crown, and no need to come back for it to be placed. My biggest concern was the ultimate fit of this computer milled crown and it exceeded my expectations. The bite was perfect as were the contacts to prevent food from getting stuck between the teeth. Great experience at my visit today! They were able to get me in quickly as an emergency appointment with no problem. Kelsey at the front desk is amazing with great customer care, she follows through with communication, and she is pleasantly funny with our conversations. Best dental experience ever. I just moved here from Florida where I had the same dentist for almost 20 years and I thought I was very happy until today, when the office of Allison and Associates just showed me how dentistry is done the right way. From the first call to make the appointment, the greeting as you walk in, the wonderful team of hygienists and Doctor herself, the experience was wonderful. I have been going to Allison dental care for the past 14 years. I have always been treated with respect by knowledgeable and caring people. They have always listened to my needs (pain in teeth) and fixed the problems with the best most expedient care available today. Its not many dentists that can pretty much do it all ie... implants , pulling teeth, cleaning teeth. crowns, and just good tooth care. Going to the dentist is not in the top five on my list of things to do. I can say, however, I do not dread going to Allison & Associates. Along with drilling and filling, I've had a root canal and bridge done. Dr. Allison really is concerned about the well being and comfort of all her patients. She listens to her patients when it comes to making decisions about what might be a best course of action if it comes to dental surgery. My hygienist is Charla. They are incredible. The dentists' and staff are loving and supportive to all people. My son who has Asperger's is treated like he is one of their family. They have treated his needs for many years and the kindness and care and concern, as well as great treatment, creates an atmosphere where he looks forward to going to the dentist.
