This place was amazing! I was in London for the weekend and wanted to grab a coffee while I was out in Shoreditch. This place was the one I happened to pick, and I'm very glad I did! I had the best latte I've had in a very long time. It's rare to find soya milk in cafés where I live, so I was really happy to learn that they offer it. The people working were very friendly as well. The guy who helped me was outgoing, knowledgable, and just very bubbly. The prices are fair and the space is great. It's quite large with lots of seating and newspapers. I can't speak to the quality of the food as I didn't eat, but I can say that almost everyone else in the shop that day had something to eat, so it can't be bad. I also bought a bag of their whole bean coffee to brew at home. I've had it twice now (once using an Aeropress and once was a pour over) and it is truly delicious. Yes... I must agree with the other reviews with one or two stars. Mainly because of two reasons: 1) staff with bad attitude 2) bad black coffee. I thought it was a black lemonade; too sour. If you wanna play arrogant, give us good product. If you can't do both, charge us the right price. If all fails, then I don't see the reason why coming here other than the good decorations. Btw I had the mixed plate breakfast... So I'm not here JUST for the coffee and wasting your seats. read more

A friend of mine comes down from Wales and the first place she always wants to go is AllPress and it's easy to see why. The coffee is beautiful and the pastries are really lovely too. It is busy here - there's no denying that. Even when you manage to get a seat you feel people sharking you ready for when you leave but even if you're just sat outside watching the world go by it's nice. The iced coffee is especially good here. read more

Worth the visit...might have to wait a little for a table but once that flat white is in hand all is forgotten! Good sandwiches also.

Nice set-up - very comfy and homely. Coffee was great, as one might expect. Fruit and nut cake was a bit dry. One star off because this place is expensive: £2.50 for a small flat white and £3.50 for the cake. Maybe it's just me, but there are coffee places in the area which are just as good and more reasonably priced. read more

I'm not a fan of their coffee. It probably works with milk, but their espresso is way too fruity - to the point where you can taste the strong citrus in the coffee. A milk version might lessen the intensity, but you don't want your espresso to be sour (and I mean sour, not bitter). Add to that, the long waiting line, the strange, uninterested service, and you struggle to find a lot that is good about Allpress. read more

If you can get here early enough (literally just after they've opened), you're in with a good change of getting a table inside. If not? Risk it, but don't be disappointed when it's so busy the wait just seems a waste of time. There's no real queuing system when it comes to the tables, so it's a bit of a free for all - who can dash to the next free table the quickest - sort of deal. That being said, I have been lucky enough to nab one of those coveted tables more than once, and the brunch is always hot, fresh and hits the spot. Poached eggs are perfectly runny and their avocado on toast is pretty delightful. Coffee is one of the best in the area and there's a little take out nook outside the main shop for those not wanting to join the line inside. read more

I like Allpress. Somewhere I go out of my way to stroll by so I can grab a flat white to go. The coffee is very good and they roast on site. There is a lot of competition for coffee bucks in Shoreditch and this is up there with the best. It gets busy, service is not exactly speedy and a little pricey but the coffee is what matters. Its a small space with great looking food that I have never sampled. If it is a sunny day grab a spot on one of the benches outside the shop read more

This coffee shop has all the hallmarks of an outstanding place - La Marzocco espresso machines, multiple brewing methods, asymmetrical hairdos, and sleeve tattoos. The only problem? The coffee. The espresso I had was thin and bitter, and had far too much volume pulled through it. They dress up lattes nicely with half decent art, but that doesn't make up for a sub-par brew. read more

First off, I'm a black coffee no milk, no sugar drinker. If you aren't then this review will be useless to you. I ventured to this establishment as it provided the outward guise of a knowledgable coffee place, which is probably pretty essential in this insanely pretentious area. I just wanted a strong, dark, non acidic coffee. The attendant(?) suggested a chemex brewed Ethiopian. It took about five minutes, but the end result was a warm light brown acidic mess of dirty water for 3£ which was undrinkable. She used probably 1/4 to 1/2 too little coffee, which is surprising given the price that they'd try and cut corners here. Seriously poor... Won't be back. read more

Tip-Top coffee house, know them from Auckland and wanted to check it out - still making killer Flatties, so get in there. Not a massive place so you may need go takeaway. Actually went for a private function in the evening, cool venue for this sort of this thing too. read more

I went to All Press today for a quick break from my shopping and I was really surprised by the quality of the food. The sandwiches we ordered were pretty small and tasteless and a little pricey. I ordered one with salad and hummus and my partner one with poached egg with some sort of pesto looking sauce but both were really average considering the price. The coffee on the other hand was pretty good but not outstanding. I would give the coffee a 4 star but the food was a real let down. I would come back for more coffee but I will stay away from their sandwiches... Haven't tried the cake yet though... Overall the place looks really nice inside and really busy with lots of space and good customer service. read more

The 3 stars for this place are for the coffee, which is by far the best I have ever tasted, it would have been 5 stars had the service merited any! Upon purchasing my coffee, I went to stir it with a spoon, while the persistent waitress advised me there were wooden stirrers on the counter, after 4 times of telling me this I asked her why we couldn't use a spoon and she told me it was to 'save on the washing up'....nice! Oh, and no brown sugar either, because it 'changes the way the coffee tastes', so no choice there then! Nice coffee, typical Redchurch street service and unfriendliness. read more

Very yummy coffee - definitely worth a visit! They roast their own coffee, so the room always smells amazing. Really good smooth strong flat whites that taste delicious. Very interesting sandwiches. Best coffee in London. Go here as much as possible to get a cup of the good stuff. Saturday's with eggs and soldiers, fruit and yoghurt and a great flat white is the best start to the weekend. Would like more seating though as sitting down is sometimes hard to get. No wifi either. But only a good thing. Bye bye mac books on every table. read more
