The first thing I want to draw attention to for this particular Drury is their incredible staff. My husband and parents were taking a trip west of Atlanta. The accommodations we had reserved were not at all as advertised...or safe. Immediately, my husband called Drury in Marietta (about 45 minutes away) to see if they had any availability. Unfortunately, they were booked that night but told us to call them at 10am the next morning and they would help us. Not only did they help us with rooms, they gave us the first two that were available which allowed us to check in early and get some much needed rest! Throughout our stay, we were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff members. From the front desk to the cleaning team to the kitchen staff, everyone was welcoming. One of the perks of Drury is an included breakfast and "kick back" dinner. We were grateful to have a hot breakfast each morning of our stay. The nights we were at the hotel in time for dinner, we enjoyed fun food like hot dogs and nachos as well as the hot food like mashed potatoes, veggies and meatballs. The rooms were spacious and clean. Every area of the hotel was extremely clean! We enjoyed using the indoor/outdoor pool as well as the hot tub. We didn't need the laundry facilities, but it is great that they have machines available for a price for guests. Thank you, Drury for taking such good care of our family! We'll see you next time!

The second room had a dead roach on the floor and mold along the seams of the shower. I appreciate that I was able to get a cool room but would have gone to another hotel if I knew I would get a roach and mold instead of a hot room. The two rooms that I experienced and the staff are unacceptable. This is the first time I've had a bad experience at a Hilton property. I will not return to this property and would advise others to keep looking.

Suffice to say that I was already fired up and ready for another confrontation. That is not at all what happened. I was greeted by Michael (a middle aged gentleman with the most welcoming tone and expression). He was kind, polite, respectful, and understanding. He explained that my corporate booking was a bit problematic, but unlike the last location: he offered solutions instead of complaints. It was less than 8 minutes talking to Michael before I had room keys and complimentary waters in hand. I wish the world was full of "Michael"s. What an incredible asset to your team. During my stay, I discovered multiple red stains on the bedding, which raised serious concerns regarding the cleanliness of the room and the condition of the linens provided to guests. I documented the issue with photographs and reported it immediately. I did not notice the red staining when I initially entered the room. I discovered it the following morning after waking up. Had I seen the stains before going to bed, I would have immediately requested different linens or a different room I have since spoken with IHG Guest Relations, communicated with property management, and attempted to escalate the matter through the proper channels. Unfortunately, despite acknowledgment that the condition of the linens did not meet hotel standards, no meaningful resolution has been offered. As someone who works in management myself, I understand that guest complaints are not always straightforward. However, I was disappointed by the difficulty in reaching management, the lack of escalation options, and the absence of any accommodation beyond points compensation, which I declined. We were polite and respectful throughout the interaction, but her attitude toward us never changed. She made it very clear that she had no interest in helping us or finding a solution. We honestly felt very discriminated against by her. From the moment we walked in she was very condescending and rude to us. We left feeling unwelcome and discriminated against based on the way we were treated. Regardless of whether this was actually hotel policy or simply the decision of this employee, the unprofessional and cruel customer service was unacceptable. Your front desk staff is the first impression guests have of your hotel, ideally they should be friendly at minimum, which this woman was not at all, and this experience ensured we will never stay here or recommend this property to others.

Hotel was easy to find, parking was okay, bed was huge and comfortable enough. The best thing about the location is that you're far enough north of downtown that if you're traveling north, the traffic is manageable in the morning.
