I was hit by someone with Discovery insurance a few weeks ago. I personally have State Farm…read moreinsurance. Admittedly I was pretty nervous after reading about this insurance company online. Whether it's Yelp or Google Reviews or BBB they don't have a great track record but I think a reevaluation is in order. I worked with Jami Blizzard as a claims adjuster, while she was slow to reach out at first once she started my claim process she made the process seamless. My car insurance provides rental coverage, and I was expecting a hassle because their preferred company is Enterprise and State Farm uses Hertz. However Jami contacted Hertz, took over the rental in full, and quickly authorized me to take the car to my preferred collision shop. She then sent out a third party adjuster Greg Jones (I believe) and he again made the process smooth. Communication was great, and when the car was deemed a total loss he walked me through what they had done to crunch the numbers. Again- I was expecting a long fight given their reviews, but it was nothing of the sort. Jami linked me up with Ronnie in total loss, and they came to a fair value within a couple days. They communicated with my Lien holder and are expediting the process for the payoff to help me with lowering my new auto loan interest rate. All around top notch. Only uncontrollable areas I'd recommend for them as areas of improvement is their website, and the original customer service woman when I called in-- she was pretty abrasive on the phone for talking to someone who is about to go through many inconveniences.
