Carly was everything my fiancé and I were looking for and more!…read more She was quick to respond to my inquiry over Instagram, answered all my questions and made sure we planned for exactly what style I was looking for. I asked for a warm/golden hour feel for our engagement shoot and she captured it perfectly! This was my fiancé's and my first time getting professionally photographed and we wanted candid, fun, and romantic shots and she knew exactly how to prompt us in all kinds of fun different poses. She made our experience so much fun and even gave us a sneak peel of 10+ photos same day within a few hours!! Although we scheduled a 30 minutes session, Carly kept snapping pictures until she felt confident she got as much as she could which ended up being about 15 minutes longer than planned. She never looked at the clock or rushed us, just had fun and we were so lucky to work with her. All our photos were beautifully edited to our liking and were sent to us only 6 days after our photoshoot!!! Just in time for us to use to send out our save the dates before Christmas! I highly recommend Carly to capture your precious memories!

We were only in Big Bear for one day and Carly made herself available to take our family photos…read more She was so responsive, from our first contact all the way through the end. She took the stress of getting holiday family pictures away! She captured our family beautifully and picked a gorgeous location. She's so sweet, talented and turned around the photos in record time. I highly recommend her!

I have found my dream photographer!! I'm pregnant and had the most magical session with Amy. Not…read moreonly did she make me feel powerful, she brought out my inner goddess. Her energy makes anyone feel seen and known. I have the most magical photos from our shoot that are anything but pastel/basic. That's just not my jam. She knew what I wanted from an artistic point of view and BROUGHT it full force. They are seriously some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen, while authentic and raw at the same time. I can't wait to shoot with her again after my son arrives!!

So, somehow I find a beautiful girl that agrees to marry me....hard part over, right? WRONG!!!…read more After contemplating a traditional wedding that involves parents, guests, caterers, lots of money, and even more fighting, we decide, what the hell, let's just elope!! At the last moment. Perfect....what do we need....minister....check.....car and driver....check....photographer....let me defer to the soon to be wife on that one! So, wife to be does her research and gets good ground level intel and gives Amy at And How! a call. She saw her work and heard great things about her. Wednesday is the wedding day...and she was calling on MONDAY. (I wasn't lying when I said it was at the last moment). Even though Amy had a shoot booked for that day, she so kindly rearranged things a little and, BAM, we got ourselves a photographer. Wife to be had several ideas of locations, shots, and even examples of what she wanted. Amy loved all of that and there was a lot of back and forth between the two to come up with some great locations. On the big day, Amy was right on time and ready to go. We had a blast with her as we drove to a bunch of different locations throughout Nashville. She had some great ideas, and between her and my wife, we really ended up with a ton of amazing pictures. Honestly, after seeing what my wife wanted to duplicate and seeing what Amy actually shot, I thought that Amy's work was better time and time again. Amy was great to work with and actually made the entire process a lot of fun...which is no small task with me. I loved her and her creativity and the way she worked. Thanks Amy!!

I just read that I wasn't supposed to comment if I am connected to the owner. Well, that is…read moreunfortunate- because I am going to comment: I've known Katie since high school, and she is one of my best friends- and because of that connection I have been so excited watching her build what she loves to do into a business. When she said she wanted to photograph me, I laughed for a while- right before I said no. Then she pulled the "friend" card on me- of course, I caved. And. It. Rocked. Okay, the first hour was uncomfortable, and I really just wanted to put on my sweatpants and take my not-even-REMOTELY-photogenic-self home. But after a while, something just clicked. I finally started relaxing and actually began listening to what Katie was telling me to do. Before I knew it, the shoot was over- and I didn't want it to be. Honestly, it was fun! And then there were the pictures... I'm just going to say it- she took me from Regina to Model Quality. I look HOT! I knew they would look good because she showed me a couple of pictures during the shoot, with the sun setting in just the perfect way, and I couldn't imagine that they could get any better. And then she began edited them. I went from Model Quality to Goddess Status. And I have the photos on CD from the shoot. This in itself is just another notch on the awesome belt, because every time I am feeling a little down, I upload one of the pictures on Facebook just for the responses they get. Shallow, yes. But if you've ever had the self-blues, you know that it is necessary some times. And the absolute best part is the way seeing myself in the pictures Katie took- and the way they made me feel about myself- I am pretty. True, I had hair and make-up, but it was *my* hair and *my* face. And I am pretty. Thanks to Katie, now I know it AND I have proof of it. But I am going to warn you- the entire thing is kind of addictive. So if you decide that you want one of the best experiences EVER, be prepared to keep setting aside money for the next shoot after that. One more thing- I love my boyfriend VERY much. I have seen the pictures from Katie's "Ex-Boyfriend" shoot. I think I would be okay with a break-up...
