Watson Engineering recently had some issues with some homes in Enoch sliding. They are paying for…read moredamages to those homes. Given the unforeseeable circumstances for those homes I do not hold what happened there against them. I do take exception to the fact that for future projects, they are opting to make impossible suggestions so that builders are forced to do something else, relieving the engineering company of any possibility of future liability. I shouldn't have to dig trenches 12 feet deep and nine feet wide with four layers of compaction for an a 800 square foot building that is not on a flood plane. The original compaction test said there was no compaction needed. So either they were incompetent with their first test or they are making it impossible in order to relieve themselves of future liability. Incompetent or unethical. Either way, I strongly suggest steering clear of them.

What I really appreciated most is that he handled all of the homeowners insurance stuff. All I had to do was call in the claim. After that I never had to deal with the insurance - Derek handled all of that: the damage assessment and getting the insurance to pay the appropriate amount to cover replacement costs. In the end, I just got a check in the mail. They were great to work with and worth every penny.
