    2x2 with French toast

We have been wanting to try out Ally's the last few weeks and finally got the chance today. The diner was warm and staff was inviting with excellent food and prices. Our favorite was the French toast and the omelette. We will be back and add this one to our regular list of brunch spots.

Great little hole in the wall. The food is homemade and the portions are large. The wait staff was friendly and super efficient. My waitress kept checking on me to see if everything was as ok or if I wanted more coffee. Thought the pricing was very reasonable. They have a $.50 up charge per egg during the bird flu shortage. There is also a 3% svc charge for credit card payments. Overall, the place is cute with a super large menu. They even have early bird breakfast specials before 10:00am as well as daily specials. Lots of homemade choices. 2 thumbs up!

    Homemade cornbeef hash, and eggs

I was in the area and decided to stop in here. It's a small place but plenty of seating and everyone I came in contact with was really nice. I decided to get takeout which I had ordered over the phone. I got the homemade corn beef hash, and eggs that came with grits and I opted for English muffin. When I tell you that homemade corn beef hash was amazing, I came back the next day for some more. I love the fact that I can tell that they seem to use cracked eggs and not anything from a box. I definitely see myself coming back here.

The best comfort food that I've ever tasted! My dear friend put me on to this gem. Food and service were top tier. I can't wait until the weekend to visit again. Inside was very homey with a dated feel. I felt like I was in my grandmothers dining room. We were seated within a minute even though inside was packed. Our waitress came over to take over drink orders and have us a few minutes to go over the menu. I knew exactly what I wanted- that fried steak was calling my name. You have the options of choosing one of 3 sides and how you'd like your eggs cooked . I chose the potatoes. The corned beef hash was so delicious. The staff was in sync as all our dishes came out really fast.

    CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKE
    Daren R.

MONSTER PANCAKES... For years people kept telling me to check out this old southern charm breakfast and lunch restaurant to eat the giant pancakes located in Davie, FL. Today, I finally got the urge to take a peek at this legendary pancake. As soon as I stepped inside, a calm aura surrounded my body. This pleasant soft spoken woman named Cindy approached and told me to sit anywhere. I took temporary refuge in a relaxing booth and excitedly pondered through the simple two page menu searching for today's highly anticipated blissful offering. I inquired to Cindy about the "Anna's Choice" single giant pancake $4.25. She explained the several mouth watering topping options and decided on chocolate chip at an additional $1.75. I thought, how was this deal even possible? Within ten minutes, a massive ultra fluffy chocolate infused pancake was on my table begging for immediate consumption. I heavily poured maple syrup onto the center and watched as it slowly dripped over the edge. Without further adieu, I took a generous bite, very impressed by the hidden chocolate chips buried inside instead of the all too common weak top sprinkle. I took a second bite, then another, again and again until this mammoth pancake disappeared into the depths of my now happy belly - gym today for sure. They do offer daily specials from 7am - 2pm like Red Velvet French Toast and Biscuits & Gravy. They are weirdly closed on Wednesdays. The bathroom was very clean.

Suck it up! Salsa. It has good taste and a nice amount of heat.

As many times as I have been here in the past years, I was surprised to see that I had not written a review. As far as my previous experiences, they have always been good. Today was no exception. Good food and good service. There's not much to talk about today. My wife had Leo. She said it was a little heavy on the onions, but otherwise, it was very good. I had something easy. A grilled cheese with ham on wheat bread, with a side of onion rings. It was good. I also got some of their "suck it up salsa." It was great. It was really hot, but it still tasted really good. It went well with the onion rings. I really loved their salsa. I really need to eat here more often.

Caprese Benedict with side of Home Fries & Grits

I had the BEST breakfast today (9/23)! I was trying to find someplace different than where we normally go and as I was looking at their website, saw that they had Sticky Toffee Pudding Pancakes! Guess where we were going, lol. There were 3 parties ahead of us when we arrived but the wait wasn't bad. They won't seat you if your party is not complete. Our waitress was very nice. Food came out pretty quick and was steaming HOT and fresh! You can see the steam coming out of the coffee cup even after I added some creamer to it. The Sticky Toffee Pudding Pancakes were DELICIOUS ! I'm so bummed because I found out that they only have them about every 6 months. My husband's Caprese Benedict was cooked perfectly as per his request. The only thing he thought was odd was that you had hot eggs but cold cheese. It obviously didn't bother him that much because he cleared his plate. Parking isn't a problem as it's in the Shenandoah Plaza off of SR84, just west of Flamingo. We'll have to keep this place in our breakfast rotation.

    Home made corned beef hash

We've been coming here for many years because every thing we've ever ordered has been great. Their matzo ball soup is fantastic and we've brought it home countless times when someone was under the weather. Today was breakfast. They make their own corned beef hash and it's fantastic. Over medium eggs are always perfect. Grits are always identically perfect and the staff is just lovely and efficient.

The theme here is: a secret almost too good to keep I have to give them their yearly review because quite actually one of Broward's (yes, all of Broward) best kept breakfast/brunch secret. The food and the specials are almost always 10/10! The classic items definitely have that unique Ally's touch as well. We are frequent customers and while we don't dine in always, service is quick, friendly, and attentive. The inside is a little small but almost always packed and bustling with movement. They have high chairs to accommodate little ones and are super family friendly.

Now, I noticed the All About Empanadas sign is affixed to the building and also imprinted on the front windows with a small "The Bakers" logo on the side. In my opinion, the interior lost its unique musical charm that set it aside from other cafes. The rock music banners, records and phonograph have vanished, although a new large wall mural exists with The Bakers logo. Confusion quickly set in and asked the cook what happened to the original concept. He advised that All About Empanadas will now be a collaboration with The Bakers. Came here today to spin a cool punk rock record of my choice but that no longer is an option, although still hungry. Ordered an Argentinian beef empanada from the new wall menu which now offers an extensive variety of empanadas. It was made fresh and was moist with full flavor. Sat for about ten minutes in the now common ambiance. Please bring back the original concept. Not sure if that will happen but I wish them luck.

Looking forward to see how the menu expands and hoping to try their empanadas.

There is a shared area where you can sit under the shade and there is a turf area where it looks like they have some things to keep children entertained for a bit so this place is also family friendly. The space is shared with another truck but I think they serve food. At Whole Latte Monkeys I was sad to see that the truck was not open on the inside, but from what I could see, the set up and decor inside the truck was very cute. I placed my order at the window, and got a Lavender iced Matcha latte with oat milk, a vanilla latte with oat milk and a Papito Chulo with oat milk. As I was ordering, I realized some of the names of the drinks are named after some of the monkeys they have shown on display in the truck which was a very cute touch. I wasn't able to read the stories of the monkeys, but I will certainly ask next time. The cashier/barista was very kind and patient while I decided what to order. I wasn't too crazy about the matcha, because I love a stronger, more astringent matcha, but the Papito Chulo was a hit and I would come back for that drink. Overall such a cute spot, great coffee and a hidden gem in this area. I'd definitely come back with friends and family to grab a drink, walk around the garden and relax.

HIDDEN COFFEE SHOP…read more.. I heard about this urban legend for years but this morning I had to get to the bottom of it and hunted for it by gps, and guess what? IT REALLY EXISTS.... Located deep in NE Weston, tucked behind a Shell gas station cushioned against W StRd 84, is this coffee shop called Watts & Coffee. This cafe began inside of Alex's Bicycle Pro Shop years ago with a simple coffee machine to support the local bicycle clubs. A few months ago, the bicycle shop was purchased by new owners who placed a semi-secure (EDITED...it is on wheels and seldomly moves except for special events and catering) coffee truck in the front parking lot of the business, which is currently closed and opens at 10am. Of course I took pics, but its so odd that you must see it for yourself to understand. As I drive into the secluded (not scary though) parking lot, I observe bicycles stationary at a bike rack in front of a large food truck with the name Watts & Coffee displayed on the face of the truck and a wide open window with a guy inside. A small wooden table sporting an umbrella for shade to the side with three bicycle enthusiasts wearing their full bicycle attire sitting with their coffee chatting. Still unsure of this place but very curious. I met with the sole employee, Juan, who happily greeted me and discussed the pastries and Italian coffee options. The inside boasted two old time full aprons hanging on the wall, beautiful shiny steel espresso machine and several pastry items in a display case which includes: Pon de Bona, Chicken Empanada, Ham and Cheese Bread, Tequeno, Blueberry and Cinnamon Muffins - most items for $3.99. Some cold drinks offered are Red Bull, Celsius, Izze Sparkling Soda and of course Gatorade. For true coffee gurus they sell a gourmet specialty pouch of Watts&Coffee 100% Arabica for $17.99 - i guess there are flakes of gold mixed inside the grinds. They also advertise a 16oz frothy coconut refreshing drink for $7.99. OK, the shot of the Italian espresso was very hot and delish, not uncommon though, but at a steep $3.99, which is at the higher end for a single espresso. Just a very little coffee shop with a unique twist. I will return soon to try the blueberry muffin. Strong 3.7 star rating during this adventure.

The Cortado was smooth and silky with perfectly textured milk. Also grabbed a slice lemon blueberry cake as well as a beef empanada. Couldn't be happier. They have some seating in there which was made out of pallets and wood. Super cool. If you are looking for a good cup of coffee, run, don't walk here.

Today, we ordered the Iced Caramel Macchiato, Iced Cinnamon Roll Latte, Spicy Beef Empanada, and their Key lime Pie. The coffees were good, but in my opinion, their pastries and snacks tasted better and left a bigger impression on me. The coffee flavors, I felt like I can find them elsewhere but the key lime pie was nice- just sweet enough and right level of tartness. The spicy beef empanada was nice too or maybe I was just hungry. You make sure to try it and let me know if it was really good or no.
