They actually offer less in the…read moreconvenient store now than they did before the renovations: The Icee machine was removed, and the merchandise was rearranged. New flooring and paneling was added. A grave disappointment, especially since they refer to themselves as a "travel center."
The only reason I awarded more than one star (let alone 3) is because of the Whataburger restaurant that they added. Hands down, this is the best Whataburger that I have ever visited. EVER. The drive-thru line moves quickly, the window clerks are prepared and prompt, and the food is ready once you arrive at the window. If you are a fan of milkshakes, I can honestly say, I have never had a better one! Thick, rich, and you can taste the ice cream AND the flavor: Very much like the old fashioned shakes from the drug store era.
My advice: Unless you plan on visiting the Whataburger, keep driving. You'll find much better convenience stores ahead in Atlanta.
