If there's any advice I can give to you after you've been in a car accident--is to immediately hire…read morean attorney. More specifically, hire Lincoln! He's got your back. The background story: my husband, baby, and I were rear-ended while sitting at a red light and our car was totaled. We didn't know what to do. We spent the first week in and out of urgent care, getting little response from our insurance company, and no word from the other guy's. We were so exhausted and stressed out. My cousin suggested hiring an attorney and referred us to Lincoln. We chatted briefly and right off the bat he made me feel like something was going in the right direction. He knew all the right questions to ask and he showed concern for my family's well-being. After hiring Lincoln, a huge weight was lifted off our shoulders. He handled all the phone calls to our insurance company, the negotiations with the other guy's insurance, and gave us clear instructions about what we needed to do next. He was transparent with letting us know that it could take up to a year to reach a settlement. He gave us updates through email and text. Most of all, he was kind and patient and answered all our dumb questions without hesitation and with clear explanations. In the end, we reached a successful settlement in less than six months and we couldn't have been more satisfied. We are grateful to Lincoln for taking our case and for taking such good care of us. It was the best decision I could've made for my family during such a stressful and traumatic time.

Relationship started out good. Ray Rivera created a Living Trust for 6 people due to my…read morerecommendation. His business practices were strange, relying on Fax and not email. He occasionally made typographical errors and would insert incorrect names, which is frustrating when he did not incorporate email in his business. Ray created a Living Trust for my Dad and Mom, and then convinced my Dad to pay him $3,250 in advance (11 years prior to my Dad's passing) so "Ray would take care of everything" once my parents passed away. I know my Dad did that to ease the burden on me, the Executor and Successor Trustee. When my last parent (Dad) passed away, Ray had moved out of the area and was not available to "take care of everything." I found out that $3,250 was an outrageous amount regarding what I ended up doing myself. My parent's Trust stipulated that we could ask for a refund at any time, and was signed and notarized by both my Dad and Ray. For 2 years I called Ray numerous times, asking for a refund. Every time Ray stated that "business was slow." This went on for 2 years. I told him that if he had sent just $150 a month, the entire amount would have been paid. For 11 years Ray had my Dad's $3,250 to do with what he wanted. About a month or so ago, he actually called me, stating that he was in the hospital and to call him the following week. I waited 3 weeks as a courtesy to Ray so he could heal. When I did call, his cell phone had a message stating that he was not accepting calls. This went on for weeks, and recently "the subscriber cannot be reached." There are two options. First, Ray may have passed away. I hope not. Second, he is deliberately making himself inaccessible. Now, I sincerely hope that Ray is okay, as I would not wish illness or worse for him. He is a very nice guy. But his business practices don't match up to that. My advice to anyone faced with this "courtesy" from a Living Trust specialist - don't do it. I had good people around me who provided wise counsel, and if my Dad had known this he would have saved $3,250. If by any chance Ray is okay and ends up settling this debt I will absolutely write another review. I want to be fair and compassionate if there may be something that I am not aware of.

I am dissatisfied with the service Ray Rivera has provided. While I cannot speak to whether or not…read morethe document he created for my family is well-done or not, his lack of attention to detail in other matters troubles me to question whether or not this living trust that I now have is done as it should be. Firstly, the process of gathering my information was tedious. Ray would call me several times to ask me the same questions. At first I thought he was just being careful, but after the first few phone calls, I realized he was just repeating himself. He insisted that he notarize the trust himself (for a fee of course), but when I told him I was going to get it notarized elsewhere, he asked me more than once if we were going to use his notary services and then mentioned the fact that we were not using his notary services every single time we spoke. The day that we were to meet to go over the documents, he was over an hour late. He did not call to tell me he was going to be late; I had to call him to see where he was. His being late forced us to be late to our next appointment. Even though I told him we were running behind, at the end of our session, he asked for directions because he didn't use GPS. He then proceeded to sit and question my hastily scribbled handwriting while I stood waiting for him at the front door. Normally, I would be happy to give directions, but when you are over an hour late, making me late, you could at least be courteous and move as fast as possible. In addition to being discourteous, there were quite a few things incorrect in the living trust documents from what we had discussed multiple times on the phone. Luckily, he had some pages he had done two ways in case, so that saved some time. Other errors, I just let slide because I didn't care either way, but he mixed up successor trustees, etc. when we had gone over that information multiple times. Later when I was reviewing the document on my own, I found he had misspelled my name in an entire section of the document, including the signature page. I emailed him with that and another error that I caught. He emailed me saying that the corrected pages were in the mail. A few days later, I get an envelope with only ONE correct page (of the four) that he was supposed to send me. I emailed him and got all the pages the next day in the mail. He might have mailed them all at the same time, but there wasn't any communication telling me to look for 2 envelopes, etc. All of this lack of attention to detail has me questioning the document he produced, but the only way for me to find out if this document would hold up in court is to pay another lawyer to look at it. The only thing I can say positive about him is that, since I was referral business, he gave me a 30% discount on his normal rate, but at this point (still waiting for my 3 other corrected pages), I don't think it was worth the discount.
