I wish I could give a warning label instead of a star rating for my experience with Almighty Movers. I truly hope this review helps another family avoid what happened to us. We hired Almighty Movers for a confirmed move on November 22, 2025. The owner, Justin, personally confirmed the night before at 4:50 p.m. that a 4-man crew would arrive between 8:00-8:30 a.m. the next morning. He knew from my earlier email on November 13 that we had only three days to complete our move after our home closed on November 19, and that we had to be out that day to meet a strict contractual deadline. There was no flexibility at all, and he accepted the job with full understanding of this. One hour before the scheduled arrival time, I received a text from Justin that said: "Move will need to be postponed until Sunday. Hope that's okay." There was no phone call, just a text. I called immediately because postponing was not possible. He did not answer. I texted back explaining we had a hard deadline and needed the crew that morning. He replied briefly that he was "on it" and trying to find a smaller crew. That was the last communication I received. He did not return my call. He did not provide an update. No one ever arrived. At 10 a.m., after receiving no information at all, I asked for my deposit back. It was refunded through Venmo, but I received no message confirming the refund or acknowledging the situation. Communication simply ended. Because the cancellation happened with only one hour's notice, and because the company was fully aware of our immovable timeline, my husband and I were forced to complete the entire move ourselves -- including all packing, furniture, boxes, and garage/outdoor items. This was roughly 36 hours of professional labor we had to replace in a single day. I have lupus, and the physical strain triggered a severe flare. I was unable to work the following Monday, resulting in lost wages, along with significant physical pain and stress. The entire reason we hired movers and were willing to pay the $2,500 price tag, was because of my health limitations, and being abandoned like this caused us tremendous hardship. On November 25, I emailed the company with a detailed description of what happened and offered 14 days for a reasonable resolution. I received no response of any kind. I have since learned through the Oregon Department of Justice website that this is not the company's first complaint, something I truly wish I had known before hiring them. As someone who has worked in real estate, I understand how critical reliability is during a move, and I have notified colleagues so they can help protect their clients. I cannot imagine this happening to an elderly couple or someone without the physical ability to complete an entire move alone. I have filed formal complaints with: * Oregon Department of Justice * ODOT Household Goods Movers Enforcement * FMCSA * BBB My hope is that sharing my experience prevents another family -- especially someone medically vulnerable -- from going through what we endured. read more

Warning‼ Almighty THIEF! Hired Almighty Movers, LLC over a month before my elderly mother needed to move out of her apartment. The estimate was higher than what Justin originally quoted, mostly good reviews (some 1-star reviews he claimed were fake) on Yelp & Google, & I neglected to check the BBB; Better Business Bureau. He explained the price increase was due to"more packing involved than originally planned" - I presume he hadn't noticed upon first glance (I had sent photos previously & explained in detail what we'd need help with). He said he would "adjust the price accordingly", especially if more packing was taken care of, &/or some "materials were already there". He even offered an extra pick-up at my mother's local storage to move items from there. I purchased 20 medium size boxes, a few large & small ones, packing materials, & boxed, gave away lots of items. True to his word, Justin lowered the price, & told me the price would go down the more was done prior to his arrival & to keep sending updates and photos. Three mornings before my mother's move, lots more items had been packed, furniture picked up, but the price remained the same. I texted to ask if it would still go down, especially after more furniture was taken (that I knew people were coming for), & I had gotten more packing done. I let him know (again) all the things that would still need to be packed, providing photos & details, as before - all along the way as requested. I had sent more updates, & Almighty Movers were scheduled to arrive in 3 days. We had phone calls all throughout. The price however didn't change from prior updates. In fact, there was no response. A local mover (not available on our move out date), & an acquaintance of my mother's in town remarked that I was paying a premium for the move, & to make sure I wouldn't be charged extra on the day of the move. So I asked Justin what the quoted price included & whether there would be any additional costs, such as for supplies or packing still needed. I also asked if there was anything I should provide to make the move easier for Justin & his team. (I had already bought food & snacks to feed them.) No response. The day before our move (3 days before my mother had to be out of her apartment), Justin texted that "...the main cost" were for travel costs, & that "only a small amount of packing & supplies" would "be included". To my surprised that included 10 medium size boxes, which I'd already told him more than once that I had plenty of. I had relied on Justin's company to pack the rest of my mother's things, & his full text clearly indicated that it would not cover all of it. Panicked I expressed my concern, called him (got his voicemail) & ask him to call me, so we could be on the same page. No response. I texted him my concern about this & ask if I could still cancel & get my deposit back so I could hire another mover as I needed help with the rest of the packing & had relied on his moving service to cover that. He responded saying he was "busy with another customer" & would get back to me "as soon as possible". A few hours later he said he'd refund 1/2 my deposit as he'd already purchased packing supplies & set the day aside. I understood that & counter offered $100, knowing I would now pay a premium to have another mover come out to finish what his text clearly indicated they wouldn't do. Ironically he referenced that 150 miles "were included" in the quote (which more than covered the distance. Of course I planned to cover gas & mileage.) Justin said a few hundred more would "cover the whole move", & that the $700 was "non-refundable". I pointed out that this was never mentioned, or listed on the invoice. He told me to get other movers & that he would not respond to any further communication. My mother's was now sitting next to me in tears. A friend (who'd been privy to our conversations called him since he didn't call me back). He told her he would call me back, & that he would do the move, but he lied & didnt do either. I begged him to come on texts & voicemails & do the move as we had agreed. No response. Last minute moving help is crazy expensive. I'm sure Justin knew that. Even if there was a misunderstanding, you call someone back. I begged him to come, apologizing for whatever he perceived I might have misunderstood. All messages went to voicemail, which he never returned. It's appalling to me that he could treat a customer like this when a move like this is already so stressful. I only noticed after this that he had other 1-star reviews with people having similar issues, including on BBB. The 1-star reviews he claims are "fake" are NOT. EXCELLENT customer service from start to finish. Justin offered me a fantastic price for two separate jobs and he always answered my questions. Alicia & James were extremely kind and professional to me. I made a BIG judgement error -- I needed a 20 foot truck for all of furniture -- but I rented a 15 foot truck. They busted their backs to make it all fit and were wonderful throughout the entire grueling process of making everything work. The following day, Trentyn and Joey did a fantastic job fitting my furniture into 4 Boxes instead of 5 -- which saved me a TON of money on cross country shipping costs. I am writing this review to follow up and support the reviews posted by Presence A. and her mother, Renate S., as I am the person who called Justin the night before the move. I will not write regarding the agreement between Justin and Presence as I was not part of their conversation. I will, however, write a review regarding my own experience with Justin. After hearing that he cancelled the move (the night before his team was to arrive in Mt Shasta), AND that he was keeping the $700 deposit, I decided to call Justin myself. At first, he was resistant and claimed that Presence was being difficult and that's why he wasn't going to help with the move. He also said the $700 deposit was non-negotiable. When I explained to him that this move was for my dear friend (Renate S.), who is in her 80's and really needed his help, he softened his stand. By the end of our conversation, Justin was pleasant and agreed to talk to Presence and work it out. He told me that he would reconsider and call her after we hung up. I was extremely appreciative and told him so, and I trusted that he would honor what he said. Unfortunately, afterwards, he never called Presence, and would not accept any of her incoming calls. Needless to say, the move did not take place in Mt Shasta the following day, as they could not find a replacement moving company in time. I am writing this review because moving is one of the most stressful things that we can experience. It's important to be able to trust those we hire to help us make the transition easier. Trust is built through clear & effective communication and following through on what you say you will do. Unfortunately, in my experience, there was no follow-through on Justin's end and I now know he said what he said to appease me and get me off the phone. read more

Do NOt USe these People. First they make a huge hole in our driveway with their truck, then they hit another storage until when we were unloading in my storage. Justin went into the office and said he would take care of the cost to fix it but has now changed his mind trying to leave the responsibility on me. This is thousands of dollars. UPDATE: We found out several months later, albeit from the local authorities and NOT from Almighty Movers, that the moving truck with my parents belongings was in an ACCIDENT and never reported to us. That would explain the THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF MISSING AND DAMAGED items. I also have local witnesses who saw their belongings spread across the highway because the driver and crew just left it there. Justin and crew DID NOT TELL US about this accident so by the time we found out it was too late to collect any of the items.They did not want to report it because ALMIGHTY MOVERS IS NOT LICENSED TO MOVE ACROSS THE STATE per ODOT regulations. This is a huge red flag that Almighty Movers is not certified with ODOT. It also explains their recent citation from ODOT for "operating without proper authority and for operating without an active U.S. Department of Transportation number." (See news article below). Per ODOT, "for your protection, do not hire a mover that is not certified with ODOT". Also, did he really expect 1 person, man or woman, to move all the belongings by themself? Again, that is why you hire a moving company, so you don't have to help physically move things? I am sure he did not anticipate his movers getting into an accident, but communicating what happened and telling the truth would've saved all of us from this drama. We have hundreds of pictures of our damaged furniture and items. There were containers of clothes that were covered in dirt from spilling out onto the highway and then packed back in like nothing happened. Tables and chairs that were well wrapped with blankets were damaged beyond repair because of falling out of the truck. We saw all this damage when WE (not some other moving company) were unloading the storage unit. Side note- The accident was a legit accident. We understand that. DO NOT HIRE!!! He lies and is a cheat! My daughter arranged for these movers a month in advanced from Germany before flying over to help me pack and move out of my 1-bedroom apartment. She paid a hefty deposit! Their quote was initially almost three times as much as the local mover, who unfortunately wasn't available on the dates we needed him. The owner, Justin Johnson told my daughter that the more packing she got done and packing materials she provided, the lower the price would be and to keep him updated with photos, etc. Even after she did so much work and bought 20 packing right from the time she got to me in the US, Almighty Movers still bought 10 of the same boxes, and were still going to charge her twice as much as other movers would have been. She was convinced these movers were worth it, but in the end the stranded us a day before we needed to move, without even returning my daughters $700 deposit. Fortunately we know a local attorney who will go after this guy, who we found out has had other complaints about him and other no shows. A total crook! Don't risk doing business with him! He claims she haggled about the price, or cancelled the move last minute, when that's what he did. I heard the conversations and saw the texts, so did a friend who called him to ask him to please not let us down last minute and return my daughters calls, and do the job. He promised my friend he would call her back but he didn't. He didn't return any of my daughters messages asking him to please come, even though she knew she might have to pay more money last minute. Not only will the proprietor openly belittle, harass, and yell at his female employees in front of paying customers but he will just leave the job in his jacked-up truck while continuing to yell at his employee with not even finishing the job! I used Almighty Movers in conjunction with my U-Haul rental. We really only had one job for them, to help us move a very large tall antique glass curio cabinet. I called, and Justin said no problem, what else can they do since they have a 2-hour minimum. Christopher and Cody showed up on time and ready to go with their masks on. They moved the cabinet with great care and helped us with other boxes and furniture items. They were pleasant, polite, efficient, and easy to work with. Move scheduled for Dec 4th. Company was total no show and no communication till almost noon after I left message on their phone. Texted me move was canceled on 4th and moved to 6th. No calls or communication other than 1 text. Now on the 6th no communication and no show again. Sitting in pileof packed boxes, can't see TV, and things I need packed. Rude owner. My fiancé booked them to help her move. Movers showed up with no truck, My fiancé had no idea she needed to get the truck. No big deal, we figured we would just get a truck and called the owner to set it up. The owners response was, "so what? Go higher a $900 ODT certified company then.*Click*" and he abruptly hung up on her. This is my second time using them, the first time was fine. The employees are normally nice and apologized for the owners rude behavior. Initially, when they made a quote with me, they listed out all the items as inventory. They play games with you where they pull out rules never mentioned before. Initially, during the quote, the company said that they could even take a couch and 18 boxes with me (no mention of sizes) and finalized a price. They decided, weeks ago, when the driver will be at my place. So, I booked my flights for the next day. The driver told that because of some problems, he couldn't be there that mentioned day. I had to leave the place and requested my busy friend to be there for the loading. The things that were promised in the inventory, not half of them went through and the driver started quoting extra. I was already in a different city, so I told my friend to just go for the basics. He loaded those and added extra 75$ for fuel sth because he couldn't park right infront of my apartment. Then, I scheduled for a day to move in. All they say is the driver will contact you a day prior. I had been telling them that I have to book the elevator weeks ago, at least inform me about this. No, the driver doesn't pick up the call and they answer in a very rude tone that they don't have any power. If you guys don't have power, don't take the work. Finally, the driver told me he will be with my stuff at 12 on Sunday. I waited for him when in the final moment, they bailed and told it was going to be Monday, as if people don't have any other work. I informed I couln't take it on weekdays because I have to be in my office. The van lines requested to work through, and I helped to the best I could. They never tell you the exact date. I managed everything with them. The drivers arrived and messaged me (I had already warned I would be in the office and to contact the receptionist for the unloading area). I replied after half an hour only to realize that they had already left and can make it again at 2pm (when I clearly told them, the elevator is booked till two). I am calling the company, the driver and god knows who all during to which they hardly answer. Finally, they told me the delivery was going to be on the weekend and I would get a call a day prior. Waited saturday, no call, sunday , no call. After which the van lines picked up the call to realize he had a family. If he had a family and wanted to spend a good sunday, why give the date in the first place and he quoted 500$ extra for redelivery. I called the company and all I hear again is "WE HAVE NO POWER". I literally had no money. So, I told I would come to the warehouse. The van line driver was very rude and unprofessional (the company claimed to be the best one). Finally, they agreed at the rate that was finalized. After the unloading, the drivers started measuring 75ft and if it was more they would charge me extra. I explained I don't have any money and drop it wherever they could. The only good thing that happened were the final drivers who decided to help. Finally, I got my stuff after numerous uncalled answers and mental torture. They have given me such mental torture and trauma that I would never in my life even think about going with a moving company. Finally, Almighty movers, talk about your rule and hidden charges in the initial phase. Maybe you think this is a good way to earn money, but to me this is complete fraud and scam. You guys should tell people initially that "WE DON'T HAVE POWER ", while taking the quote. read more

We needed movers to unload our 26' Uhaul. Even though we needed someone right away, they were able to help. They were very courteous and professional. They were careful with our items at all times, whether a huge piece of furniture or a small box. Would defintely hire again. Courteous, efficient, and professional. So many movers sneak in hidden charges whether it's having to go up to an elevator or furnitures is heavier.
